The restaurant is stunning and so cosy. The staff were attentive and fun to talk to and oh my goodness, the food was GORGEOUS! The crab butter was the most amazing thing I've ever eaten, I'd literally drink it if I could.
Fabulous food. Fabulous service. Perhaps the best restaurant on the Stokes Croft /Cheltenham Road /Gloucester Road 'strip'. Concise menu with specials board. All were enticing. The mussels were some of the best I have ever had. Brilliant puddings. God drinks list with an exceptional wine list. Fully deserves the national recognition they have achieved
Came here for our anniversary. The food was amazing and well priced for what it was. The staff were so thoughtful, friendly and attentive. 10/10 recommendšš
Had a delicious meal here last week. Service attentive and friendly
We had the oysters, crab butter (particular fav) mussels and steak onglet
Sunday roast today at one of Bristols most talked about location for Sunday lunch. This is the best roast Iāve had in the city so far!
For starters I chose the Steak Tartar which was incredible! The potato was super crispy and I loved how the mushrooms added a hint of acidity - I think they had been soaked in some sort of vinegar. I did feel like the fried potato took over the taste of the tartar so potentially wouldāve added more steak to offset that but still 10/10.
My friend chose the Ham Hock Terrine which was also stunning, would 100% order that next time!
I went for the Pork Shoulder which came with crispy crackling, buttered veg, Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoās. My friend chose the beef.
All in all, this was one of my favourite roasts of all time (with the exception of my nanās which sadly cannot be beaten). We would have liked more gravy and smaller potatoās (because who doesnāt like that extra crisp?!). The meat was cooked perfectly, portion size spot on, one of the best Yorkshireās Iāve had and Iāve never enjoyed veg on a roast as much as I did here.
Sadly we didnāt have room for dessert but the treacle tart on the specials board sounded insane.
Would love to visit again and try their main menu too!
Also tip one in Bristol for me! The special white port with tonic is great. Whole lemon sole is very tender and flavorful! Always love their music list. Just play on my heart.
We went here as a group of 7 for a birthday lunch and our meal was absolutely exceptional. Star of the show was the warm crab butter with sourdough bread - but honestly everything was so good. The staff were warm and attentive, and went out of their way to make us comfortable, including offering amendments to dishes for a vegan member of our group.
Love love loved it here and will definitely be back.
Why is this place not busier for brunch? Good coffee and amazing breakfast. Poached eggs on toast with avo but done to absolute perfection. So glad we stumbled across this place. The waitress was lovely too!! Definitely going to come back for dinner if this morning was anything to go by.
Delicious food and wine, great service and they allow dogs āŗļø would recommend.
We had a lovely evening meal at Caper and Cure; the staff were very friendly and the food was amazing. The restaurant is small and intimate, but has a wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommend the ox cheek and the pork, and a tasty dessert to finish - we will definitely be back!
