One of the best Indian cuisine in Bristol. I have enjoyed every bit of it. We have ordered Thali, it was yummy😋 such a friendly staff and very good environment. I highly recommend for every Indian and other nationalities who crave for traditional Indian meals.
If you, like me, ever wondered or wanted to discover Indian Street Food-this is the place. Gorgeous interior, quick service and .. gorgeous food!
Highly recommend this place for brunch, but be aware coffee is not an option here, but lovely masala chai.
So, grab coffee someone else while you are on the way here and enjoy your brunch with a lovely cup of chai.
Dosa has different options, but we followed staf recommendation - Masala Dosa (it has mash potato like filling) and you get 3 sides: 2 cold, 1 hot.
It is massive! I was too hungry to share, but .. maybe it is an option if you are just pekish.
Enjoy!
My favourite restaurant in Bristol. I literally go here to eat alone on ordinary days just to have the food, it's so affordable that it works out cheaper than buying all the ingredients to make a balanced meal from co-op nearby. But we also go here for birthdays and special occasions. They have the best Masala Dosa, it's less than £8 and fills you up all day. Also the staff are treating you like family and that they are happy to see you, in this way, it is like being in India. More people should eat lunch here because then you would only need a light dinner and it only works out a few pounds more than a meal deal from a supermarket which has way less nutritional value.
Starters and drinks were good, we had the lollipop chicken and chilli gobi.
Mains were paneer makhani and Punjabi butter chicken, they good but tasted very similar.
Service was a bit all over the place and atmosphere was average

An authentic flavor with a homemade touch.
I have had my very first time eating Indian food... and it won't be the last!
This restaurant found at Google is a hidden gem on Gloucester Road. We were quickly interested when we browsed the reviews, then from the first bite we were translated to another place, somewhere the flavors are exotics and delicious.
I cannot well pronounce the dish's names, but I'll be back every time I can to taste all of them on the menu.
People are kind and explain the recipes to understand what to order.
In the end, is one of my top 10 restaurants in Bristol.
Went to Salkaara today following our friend's recommendation. Ordered Mango and sweet lassi...which was great, though slightly overpriced.
For starters, we ordered the chilly idly and tawa fish fry. Very well prepared and flavourful. Waiting time - 10-15 mins. For mains, uttapam was amazing and so was the kerela parota. The chicken biryani was flavourful but a bit soggy. Chicken needed to be a bit more cooked.
Overall price: Found a bit overpriced for the portion sizes served compared to other street food restaurants.
Hospitality: The hospitality of the staff was flawless. Elvis did a good job!!!!
Environment: Cool
Very nice Indian restaurant. Everything was delicious and the service was quick and kind although...my only "but" comes from the street curry chicken: there were only 5 pieces of chicken and it was £9
The dosa and the porotta were really good
Good food. I liked the prawn curry ( I don't remember the exact name of the dish), it was really good. And so was the Kerela parota. I would suggest do not opt for north Indian dishes, it's not their speciality anyways.
Staff was really good and well behaved. Price was reasonable.
The ambience is very nice. Bollywood numbers playing and good lighting. It feels like a nice place to be in.
Location is good, street parking may be a little difficult to find as it is a busy street.
Went for a meal here last night, five chaps who like a good curry and beers - WoW the flavours in the food was amazing. The staff are really friendly and the atmosphere is great. I will be going back with my Wife on a date night!
Good food. Nice options. Our order was messed up a bit, but the staff was friendly and apologised. Because it would have taken longer to get the correct order, we had what was served which was good as well. Overall good experience and will visit again.
This is one of my families favourite places to eat in Bristol! The food is always brilliant and the staff are extremely accommodating. Will continue going again
Super good authentic Indian food. Very friendly service, lovely place to sit with chilled backround music. It was so good we ate there two days in a row!
My new favourite curry house in Bristol A friendly South Indian restaurant with an authentic menu and not too pricey.
I recommend the masala dosas and the birianis.
Have walked past this place so many times. Came here for lunch today and already can’t wait to go back. Everything we had was delicious - in particular the Thali and the aubergine curry. Not just your normal curry house - much better!
We had dinner here on a beautiful Bristol evening, searching for flavourful sustenance. On arrival we were promptly seated by our lovely waitress Anna - the restaurant has funky Bollywood film posters on the walls, plenty of seating and a relaxed ambience. The food was fantastic, filled with interesting warm spicy flavours; lots of reasonably priced little dishes to graze on, all served nicely, without being too fussy. The spicy potato dish was delicious, as was the prawn curry. Fresh fluffy naan breads of every variety emerged throughout the meal. The service had a very laid back informal vibe which puts you at ease. I would definitely come here again!
really lovely restaurant!! very friendly staff that give menu recommendations and explain further, you can tell they want to help anyway they can. the food was delicious also and great value for money! i visited on a trip to bristol from london, absolutely recommend it!
Amazing food and great service! Highly recommended trying to their signature dish Samosa Chaat and Masala Dosa. It’s too delicious, I can’t explain in my words. Will definitely be coming back!
