I can’t say enough good about this place. I have now been many times. My latest trip involved a delightful beef carpaccio to start, a very smooth house red wine and a large pork chop for main with potatoes. I have also enjoyed a Sunday roast there which ticked all the boxes of what I consider to be a decent roast. For example, good quantity, tasty ingredients, proper roast potatoes that are fluffy inside and golden outside and delectable gravy. The staff are warm and friendly and cannot do enough to help, and the atmosphere is cosy and wood based. I’d say as it stands it is in the top 10 local restaurants in the centre of the city.

I can’t fault a single dish, partner had the Swordfish which was superbly cooked and the rich tomato sauce was fresh and full of flavour and she is still talking about a week later! The Scallops were excellently cooked, soft and flavourful and not rubbery and complimented very well by the chorizo oil. Even the burger was exceptional (and I have eaten a lot of burgers in my life) The cocktails were delicious, perhaps too delicious as we got through A LOT. My one niggle would be the Jalapeño cocktail was not spicy at all. But as that was the worst thing about the experience I cannot really complain. A real cocktail gem in Bristol! Didn’t expect them to be so good. The staff were knowledgeable, presentable and friendly and put up with our awful jokes and relentless cocktail ordering. A great location with possibly one of Bristol’s greatest terrace dinning experiences. The interior design offsets the exterior view nicely by filling the eyeballs with luscious greens and dark browns so when you walk through the restaurant and out to the terrace you are treated with the contrasting brightness and openness of the view. I wish I had taken more photos of the dishes and the nibbles but we were having too much fun.

One of my favourite restaurants, the atmosphere is relaxed yet the service is efficient and the food, especially the seafood is incredible. The food is fresh always and the prices reflect the quality

Had the most delicious meal here the other week for my daughters graduation! Porthilly oysters, scallops, burrata, mussels, lobster, trout, and plaice. Only negative was the plaice, which seemed a bit on the small side, not enough flesh. Apart from that, it was faultless and very tasty! Oysters were very fresh and delicious! Oh and a nice bottle of prosecco too. Really lovely surroundings overlooking the river, would have been nice to sit outside had it not been raining! Very comfortable and relaxed afternoon.

Really good seafood. I liked the sizes of the dishes, not too small, nor too big. Can get somewhat busy and noisy, if the weather allows, sitting outside viewing the harbour is probably the best. The quite spicy jalapeno cocktail goes well with the food. The scallops starter was very good too.

We had a large group off 36 and every dish was delicious & cooked perfectly, the drinks especially the cocktails were tasty and the service was 10/10. Can’t fault a single thing had an amazing time. We will definitely be back.

We recently visited for a business celebration and were very impressed. A diverse and well-considered menu with plenty of quality regional produce and local wine. Welcoming decor and friendly, attentive staff. Definitely recommended and will visit again.

Lovely place with a lovely Sunday roast. We came here because they are dog friendly, waitress adored our two spaniels and brought a bowl of water without us asking.

Best cauliflower cheese. Sunday roast as it should be. Superlative seafood linguine. And excellent wine list, beer and coffee. Not to mention warm and attentive service. Pretty good.

Top quality cooking, service and locally sourced ingredients and drinks menu. Everything an excellent modern brasserie should be. A touch pricey (if you are paying for sides) but you are paying for quality and a prime harbour dining space. Elected for all seafood options and didn’t disappoint, perfectly executed dishes and flavours arrived super promptly from kitchen to the table. Recommend fritto misto with subtle black garlic aioli, perfect arancini with coronation dip that melted in the mouth, and chunky river trout fillet was perfectly cooked and presented. Service was spot on , attentive and polite, added touch on receipt of the bill was complimentary drinks due to special occasion - thank you ! V Extensive low/ no alcohol menu. Evidently the team here know what they are doing, and execute it very well. The local Ivy restaurants could learn a thing or two.

Really lovely food and atmosphere, would quite happily go again but avoid the ice cream dessert and go for the sticky toffee pudding (you get more)

Our server was a lass with red hair who's name we sadly neglected to ask. She was so attentive, polite, friendly & happy. She was delightful. All the staff we had contact with were lovely & very respectful. The restaurant decor is really nice. The toilets are pristine. We really enjoyed our lunch. The food was excellent for all of us but the seafood linguine was particularly excellent. I took a gamble when I booked The Harbour House, having never been before & it really paid off. We will definitely be back & I would thoroughly recommend.

Lively place, welcoming and friendly. The beef carapacchio starter was just excellent. Any issues or negative comments were minor; more salad rather than a few leaves with the sea bream for instance and overall we thought this was a fantastic evening out; great food, good service, pleasant ambience all at a reasonable price (albeit a step above 'casual dining')

Food was really good - varied and tasty. Where this place excels is the service. Jay, was phenomenal, attentive, friendly and polite. Just enough contact with us, listening to our questions and requests, then delivering on what we needed. Thinking about what we might need before we did. Otherwise nice venue, varied menu

Beautiful restaurant with a lovely menu that offers fantastic options for meat eaters and veggies. They also have a range of local craft beers which were thoroughly enjoyed. As were the post-meal cocktails! The service was perfect - really attentive and friendly staff. 2nd visit and it won’t be our last.

Lovely service. Calm atmosphere. The food is good. ( I wanted the turkey parcel but they were out of turkey, but got the kids roast since I didn’t actually wanted something big and I definitely recommend the turkey parcel) Expensive but worth it
