I originally wrote a review but I'm changing it as this is, in my opinion the best boba tea shop in Bristol. Lots of unique drink options, about 5-6 dairy free alternative milks at no extra cost, they give you a really generous amount of tapioca pearls and staff are really friendly. I believe at the moment there are 3 locations for Jo's tea but I normally order online and pick up from Park Row. Definitely try this place.
Probably the best bubble tea place we’ve had in the UK. It can get busy so you can order online via their website and pay, and then collect at an allocated time, saving you having to queue up.
The bubble tea itself was great. Tapioca balls were sweet, soft and had a nice chew to them. Added bonus of also offering milk alternatives. If you’re looking for a bubble tea place in Bristol, this is the one to go to.
Me and my friend ordered the oreo milk boba and we thought we would have to order the cheese foam separately so we ordered one until the staff asking us whether if we were sure that we want to have double cheese foam. My friend asked the staff if she could get the money back for the milk foam since we didnt want a double milk foam. The staff instead of returning the money, she gave us extra tapioca WHICH WAS SO NICE. The interior of this shop is also SO PRETTY N AESTHETIC and ill probably come back soon!!!!
extensive drink options is a plus, the taro taste was lacking though so i wouldn’t get the taro drink again. pearls are good, nice and chewy
This is my favourite bubble tea shop and brand (There are 3 locations in bristol owned and managed by different people/groups).
I rate their teas over others due to there being many of my favourite flavours/drinks here and no other tea brands offer them. However, their lychee boba is disappointing and would even go to CUPP for them before here. You do pay more here, esspecially for the more complicated drinks, but if you pay £5 normally for a bubble tea how much worse is £7-8!
The staff are nice and there are a few seats inside and outside the shop which I appreciate.
Best bubble tea I’ve had in Bristol so far. I got the Blue Butterfly and it was exceptional, I particularly enjoyed and appreciated that the boba pearls were still a little warm, I assume due to freshness! The pearls were also really nice and soft.
Staff are friendly and helpful, absolutely worth the price and worth a visit!

The quality was good and staff were extra kind even when they are drowning from orders!!!
We had the Taiwanese Boba Tea & Thai Milk Tea. Taiwanese had a nice unique taste while still being sweet. Thai Milk Tea was very nice, just needed to be a bit more warm (yes we did shake it).
Would be nice for the staff to get some help during busy hours, as this will firstly help the staff to work at a good pace and the customers to wait less, one person during busy times seems to be very stressful on the one member of staff 🙄
The best bubble tea 🧋 in Bristol! The staff is friendly too. Usually you will have to wait a bit, but it’s worth it. Highly recommend!
Bubble tea was nice and big. I got a regular size, and that was enough for me. The boba was a bit tastless, but it might be because I didn't get the one with brown sugar boba.

For my first time being here it was absolutely amazing! I went with a friend who regularly comes here during her work breaks and she cannot praise the Business highly enough. At first I was nervous to try the ‘Black Sugar’ tea and usually my order would always be ‘Brown Sugar’ but the employee reassured me this was the same, despite the slight wait I knew for sure everything was fresh and as a result it tasted amazing.
One thing to fault was when I did take it away there was a small hole at the bottom of one of the drinks I ordered (I ordered 3) and so this was disappointing but it wasn’t massive and was just dripping slightly, but I know the Business is hard working and the drinks tasted amazing!
So definitely leave a 5 star ❤️✨

The best, and I mean the best bubble tea I have ever had! It is very nice and the staff is also kind. The bubble tea is evidently made with great skill, thus having great taste. The range of flavours and toppings is endless. You can’t beat the original bubble tea with tapioca, but I recommend popping boba, especially the multi flavour popping boba. The reason why this is 4 starts is because of the queue. Went here at 16:00 and was told to wait for 40 mins for a single bubble tea! I don’t blame them, because the tea there is amazing!
Bought sevreal teas from them and by far I love the milky way, Perfect everytime.
Staff were super friendly and helpful, especially when it came to navigating their large menu. We tried a milk & fruit tea, both to die for. I had the Black Sugar Reffeallo & my partner had the Signature Fruit Tea. I really love the reusable cups too! Definitely will be using this for my at home bubble teas. If you're living in Bristol or visiting and looking for bubble tea this is definitely the place to go!
The most delicious bubble tea I’ve ever had and the best in Bristol by miles. I can highly recommend the Hojicha latte.
Very expensive though, even for bubble tea!

Lovely bubble tea shop with bamboo straw! Staff member were really lovely and being able to see the whole process of making the bubble tea in-front of the customer was great :)! It was nice that they had some discounted options as well :)! Definitely recommend :)
Update on review:18th august 2020
Went back after a long time and ohmy!! The blue butterfly and macha milk was phenomenal!! They have prepared with hand sanitizer and plastic shield which made us feel very safe! I love that the cup is reusable! Definitely will come back :) I was not sure if we bring the cup for next time the bubble tea price will be reduced? But love that they are tackling plastic waste that not many other bubble tea shops are doing! Highly recommend :)

More screens and great service again! Having bigger discount for bringing your container will be nicer since it is only 30p discount now. Having some bubble teas that are cheaper weekly could be great as well.
5th of January: Highly recommend hong kong milk tea! Lovely staff as usual and great bubble tea ❤️

We were a little disappointed because I’ve been following Jo’s Tea on Instagram for a couple of years and I’ve been a fan of their beautiful photos and nice branding, so always looked forward to trying it when coming to Bristol; but unfortunately our Classic Roasted Milk Boba was very bland and watery.
However based on the color, texture, and flavor, it does seem like this was likely due to poor preparation by worker and maybe not due to poor quality ingredients, so it’s possible we would have a much better drink on a different day. But it’s also the shop’s responsibility to train all the staff to prepare drinks well and I think part of what makes a great cafe is consistency and knowing you’ll get great food/drink every time.
Additionally, on the day we went, they had a “10% off everything” sale, but I noticed the cashier didn’t give us the deal, and when I mentioned it they realized they had not been giving the discount to any of the recent customers.
Update:
After posting this review, the shop owner, Jo, wrote a very thoughtful and quick reply (see below) and after I emailed her she kindly explained there were some troubles with the machine that are impacting the quality while they wait for repairs.
I’ve updated my review to 5/5 because I can tell that so much love & care has gone into creating delicious and authentic drinks and Jo is a very genuine and passionate business owner. I think that kind of care and professionalism should be rewarded :)
We’re looking forward to trying more drinks in the future!
