Great little pub; friendly staff, clean and serve my favourite pies (pieminister) with mash! If you are going for the pies phone ahead as they do run low as they are very popular. 😉

Decent enough back street boozer. Two real ales. Mainstream keg beers and lagers, Heineken/Camden etc. It would be nice to see them supporting local and independent breweries. Come for the atmosphere not the beers.

Cosy pub, relaxing and comfortable. Apparently rhey has a dog there. They don't serve food but there's a nice take away next door that u can eat there which is really nice.

Back street type of pub, with a niche audience. Went there for the Thursday quiz and certainly not disappointed. Good choice of beers. No food but you can order in from a takeaway two doors up ! Toilets basic but fine. Barman (Olly ?) very friendly and quiz master excellent. Thanks for the welcome.

Great little local. If you're lucky enough to get a table for Thursday quiz night you're in for a treat. The quiz if great and the staff are amazing. Really well run local pub with friendly staff and customers and an outstanding selection of drinks 10/10

This pub serves the finest cask ale in the area. I know this because I drink ale at all the local pubs on a regular basis and the cellaring standards here are superior. The Vaults can be a bit hit and miss; the Green Man often serves ale at almost room temperature. But here in the CPS you get cellar coolness and all the creaminess and lacing that are the hallmark of cask ale in top notch condition. If you get served an average or worse pint at a nearby pub, vote with your feet and walk this way.

Friendly relaxed pub, a real old school spit and sawdust pub. Highly recommended, always has a great beer and ale selection.

Been there early in my drinking days and this was a long timer later visit. Little has changed. Good supply of cider. Don't believe the story that John Lennon painted the mural. It's not true.

Lovely quiet pub. Staff are great, prices good, nice vibe inside. Dart board, SNES with Mario, come on, doesn't get any better than that!!

Great boozer. Always has been. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. No snottiness about me not having QR recognition for ordering system! I merely asked the gentleman behind the bar for a drink. Amazing progress in ordering technology

Cute little pub with a great quiz on a Thursday. The task round is unlike anything I’ve seen in a pub quiz before and gets everyone up, involved, and laughing!

Proper pub, mostly local regulars, as a cider drinker good selection, box and draft. Ground floor toilets interesting should be in museum. Rare gem, old fashioned pub, how they used to be. WELL WORTH A VISIT!!!

Nice traditional pub, equally frequented by old boys and young students from the area. Good selection at ales and ciders thatt change regularly, and board games available at the back. Loos can be a bit chilly in winter.
