Myself and my partner came in for lunch today around 2pm and it was lovely, the staff on bar were so friendly and the food was delicious. A very family friendly pub with an amazing garden out the back too. Will definitely be returning!

Came to the pub for a drink with my partner and it was lovely! It has a really relaxed atmosphere and the staff were excellent and very attentive - definitely going to become my new local!
I extended 2 days stay with bed and breakfast and a bigger room. Interestingly chef didnt turn up on day 2 and I was told the tariff was adjusted , however I am charged additional after departure , without letting me know about charge , though they were supposed to.reduce for not.providing breakfas
Wow wow wow! We had the best night at Channings on 7 July. We booked the basement for a University Reunion (Class of '92). The venue was amazing - with its own bar and access to the garden. Remember this is a pub, and an old pub at that! Location was great for accessing the areas in Bristol that we needed to.
My room although very basic, was spotless.
No lift...its an old building. So if you have a problem with stairs, this stay is probably not for you.

Great patio/garden.. Quite surprised to find the lower bar closed at 7pm on a Saturday night that also happens to be university move-in weekend (it's meters a way).
My trip to Channings was great! Good service, friendly bar staff and a great student discount - would definitely recommend coming here
