We weren’t sure where to eat. Came across this place and gave it a try. So glad we did. Ordered the doorstep sandwich and the pork and chorizo burger. Both were superb with excellent service. Bar staff were excellent. If your looking for an in town rustic place to eat that does great food is accommodating and has a service not to fault, go give them a gooyou will not be disappointed 👌
Always go to McKenzie's before going to the matinee performance at the Hippodrome, my friend and I have the all day brunch! The best late breakfast by far.
The staff are super efficient, helpful and pleasant.
Am looking forward to our next trip to the theatre in March, when we shall dine at McKenzie's again.
First time to visit mackenzies, food was great, the staff were polite and it was lovely to eat outside by the river.
Food is great ,staff are helpful too . Lovely place to chill and eat with friends or loved ones
Beautiful meal, in fact the best meal that I have had in Bristol, will definitely go back.
Ordered through the app, first order of food and drink arrived quickly but the second order didn't turn up. Food was good, tables weren't very clean. Nice evening out with some good offers. Probably won't be back..
We came into Mackenzies Bristol today and were looking forward to some sort of lunch, we were told we could sit anywhere and the place was quite empty so we opted to sit on table 26. The menu is available through the QR code or their app and we ordered Coca-Cola with Chargrilled Chicken which was Succulent Chargrilled Chicken Breast with Crispy Bacon, melted Monterey
Jack Cheese, topped with BBQ Sauce and served with Home Cut Fries & Dressed Mixed leaves. This was delicious however we did order sweet potato fries and we were told that they didn't have any but weren't offered any money back. That's one of the issues of using the app is you can't see what they have or don't have and even for breakfast it is available apparently at 2 p.m. when it stops serving at noon.
The only thing that we didn't like (which was out of the control of the staff) was the selfish customers trying to claim 'their' corners even though we were in that area first. We sat down and ordered our food and drinks and then this group of ladies came by and asked if we could give them one of our chairs which we said yes to, then before we knew it the group got bigger and bigger and it meant that our personal space kept getting invaded. Being autistic, I'm not comfortable with approaching people and asking them to move or anything like that so we just put up with it. They knew we were not comfortable and would often stare at us as if to prompt us to eat faster so they could take up more space. It was very frustrating to deal with that but not much you can do with a bunch of "Karens"!
A nice place to get a quick breakfast before a train trip to London. It’s a nice restaurant next to the river side. If we happened to stay by Bristol again we will try their lunch menu for a further review !
Came here for breakfast yesterday morning ,the nicest cappuccino I've ever had followed by eggs florentine with the hugest portion of salmon ,absolutely gorgeous and only waited a few minutes for it to be served up 😋
We went on a Friday evening for a pre- theatre dinner. Had 2 8oz steaks, 2 cocktails, 2 coffees and a dessert. £43.00!! An absolute bargain!!
The food was good and the staff were friendly. All the food coming out of the kitchen looked good.
Will definitely eat here again prior to going to the Bristol hippodrome.
It's not Michelin starred but it is good.
Wish we had one in our town.
Nice pub close to the start of the Marina. Access is easy. Parking locally in the car parks. Facilities & access for everyone. Drink and food wise it's pretty good and prices are reasonable. The staff are friendly. Plenty of seating. I would recommend a visit.

We ate here Sunday 24/09 it was our first visit and won't be our last we both had burgers with different toppings, the meat was succulent and cooked just perfect the firehouse had heat but not enough to spoil the flavour there was a bit of a wait for food but I can assure you it was definitely worth waiting for !!
The food was great and prices are quite low. The atmosphere is nice and cozy. You can sit and chill to lofi beats. The only downside is the staff. They seem so serious and gloomy and grumpy. It felt like I'm in a cemetery or at funeral.
Great food and helpful staff. About 15-20 min wait for food to come. The only issue is that the ordering app doesn't give you the opportunity to remove items, but ordering at the bar negates the problem.
Wow wow wow, ordered a forest burger and not only was it amazing, but the waiter who took my order, Jude maybe? Gave me helpful advice on my newborn child and how to stop him crying bless him. Definitely coming back for another. Five stars easily
