Everything was as expected. The room was well furnished and the bed was comfy. There was some noise from outside earlier in the evening but that cleared up by about 11. The bar is well stocked with tons of choices. I had a sweet cider that was excellent. The fish and chips were top notch and a good portion size.

Been a few times for dinner and drinks. Good screens for the rugby. Lovely food. Excellent staff. It's a good local (and nice place to take the parents!).

Good pub, the staff are friendly and the drinks are not too expensive. They used to run a weekly pub quiz (not sure if they still do) which was always a good laugh. They closed the kitchen on Monday's but let you bring your own food in, including take out .

A large pub with plenty of rooms for groups and quiet corners for smaller parties. Great food and drink. Friendly and cosy. A garden is available in the summer.

I had been staying in the centre of Bristol until it was suggested that I try The Wellington. A great decison, I have really enjoyed staying in The Wellington and will continue to do so whilst travelling down to Bristol. Really impressed with the staff, a good selection of drinks and the food is great, both in the evening and the breakfast, which is just the right size as you can be overfaced at 7.30am. Rooms are good, bed's are comfy and the showers better than most. All in all, a great place to eat, drink and stay over in a handy location. Really impressed and thank you for the hospitality.

Excellent food and thousands of drinks! Very popular hotel/pub/kitchen on Gloucester Road, weekly special menu and seasonal new beer all perfectly matches the atmosphere!

Tastiest roast I’ve had in Bristol since the crosshands closed perfect portions and would definitely recommend the beef. Service was a bit slow but I think they were just understaffed. Will definitely be back.

Stopped by for a couple of beers and some food after a grueling day at the hospital. Really enjoyed the burger, and my partner said the fish and chips were great. A large selection of local (ish) beers on tap, nice atmosphere and seating. Thanks

A good stay. Food was good, piri piri chicken lovely. Delivered the wrong drink to the table, hence 4 stars (my Cornish accent can't be that different to Brizdl, surely?) Room was nice, quirky town-house kinda vibe, clean and simple.

Fantastic place. We stayed one night. Room was lovely and facilities second to none. Dinner was excellent- pub food at its best. Probably the best rump steak I’ve ever had and I’m pretty fussy about my steak. Book the breakfast- it’s excellent. Staff are really helpful and friendly. Great place.

Very nice pub/hotels room very nice and spacious. Note the breakfast is at 7:30 not 7. BUT fantastic and worth the wait. Carpark is small so had to park on the road, but there was space on side road. Had evening meal here as well, the place has a great atmosphere and not noisy would go again
