Massive portions of pancakes and American style shakes at low prices. Not a single student that doesn't rave about this place- and for good reason too.

Wanting to find a quick breakfast/brunch and I stumbled across Rocotillo's.
I have previously read reviews that this was the place to get awesomely large tasty milkshakes which are second to none as well as yummy pancakes.

The atmosphere was just like an american diner. Definitely have to sit up at the counter!

I definitely loved the blueberry pancakes and wish to go back for more.

On the other hand, I ordered the mint choc chip milkshake which was only average. The flavour wasn't strong enough for my liking. After tasting it I wished I had ordered a more stock standard chocolate. Maybe next time when I head back for the pancakes I'll have a tastier milkshake.

Been coming here all my life. Superb burgers and the best milkshakes around. Classes US diner style and it's right on the triangle, perfect. Check out the pancakes if you have room. They're the business.

Awesome place from breakfast. I had the serious breakfast, full English with a steak, cannot be beaten. Bottomless coffee is nothing to be sniffed at either. I tried the pancakes too and they were great, nice and fluffy and proper maple syrup. Highly recommended!

One of the best pancakes in Bristol! It could have been better if it was streaky bacon instead of back bacon. It always our first choice to go for pancake and milkshake but it always busy especially weekend and during school holidays.

I absolutely love this place. There food is amazing and I can't get enough of the milkshakes. Especially the crunchie milkshake that is my favourite. The staff are always really friendly and I love the decor

I've loved this diner since I first came to Bristol as a student in the 90s. Fab malted milkshakes, club sandwiches and my favourite blue cheese burger 🍔

If you love milkshakes then this place does some good one! Best strawberry milkshake I’ve found in Bristol so far. Food is good and reasonably priced. Nice and clean. Friendly staff. If you like your American style burger with a shake then highly suggest give this place ago. (I’ve only been to the Clifton restaurant)

Really great milkshakes. I loved the chocolate chip pancakes but my friend found them a bit too stodgy. If you have pancakes and a milkshake you may not need anything else to eat that day 😂 Well worth a visit. Lovely interior and friendly staff too.

Throw that diet out the window and indulge yourself. I love coming here, the food is great as are the portions and you're really missing out if you don't have the milkshakes. Service is generally good and the place is clean. It is a little on the small side which is a nice atmosphere if you get a seat.

Excellent food and service. Really funny and friendly vibe with great music and lively staff. Everything made fresh in front of us. To explain how good the service was; I ordered an item from the menu and was told that they would happily make it but we’re missing an ingredient and would have to sub a frozen or powdered alternative. Instead, they offered, explained and made a bespoke alternative with fresh ingredients. Would recommend and will return. For those reviewers commenting on price, it’s not the cheapest food you’ll eat but it’s reasonable for the quality served. Good fresh food doesn’t cost pence - there is such a thing as suspiciously cheap when it comes to food.

I'm probably being harsh giving it 4 stars, but it's got good competition in Bristol. The milkshakes are five stars, the portions are mad (in a good way) as well, but maybe just needs a bit of extra space/comfort. Any Skins season 1/2 fans will want to tick it off their bucket list.

It's a proper diner with a great reputation. Saturday mornings get very very busy, but it's worth it for the malted Oreo milkshake and pancakes! Be prepared for big portions though, it's not for the faint-hearted. This is the place to take friends after a night out, not parents!

I've only ever had breakfast here but the food has always been great. Its the milkshakes that really stand out though. They are terribly unhealthy but sooo soooo good! Often very busy so book or expect to wait. Only down side is the booths are quite small so if there are four of you, you have to eat with "TRex arms" or you end up elbowing each other constantly.

Big American style breakfasts, milkshakes and free coffee refills are a winning combination. Fairly pricey for a breakfast, but then again I did have a steak with mine. I was rather expecting a chewy thin slice of meat, but in fact the steak was tender and a rather good size. All of the other items, eggs, sausage, hash browns were also of high quality. The interior of Rocotillo's is decked out like a traditional American Diner with tables and a row of stools running along the serving counter which I now prefer to sit at. The restaurant was also featured in a few episodes of Skins if you are in to that kind of thing! The staff were very friendly and I'll be returning as soon as I've worked off the calories from the last visit!
