Desi Indian Tapas - Bristol - Photo album

Desi is a cool interesting restaurant which combines traditional Indian food with Spanish tapas, the taste from India, size from Spain. This idea works flawlessly when you combine it with the extremely low prices (£70 for a meal for 5) which allows you to just keep going back for more. The décor is
My friend and I visited here about 2 weeks ago. I had been meaning to leave a review because this place was one of the best meals I had when I visited England. The food is amazing and very affordable. I believe the owner was also our waiter-- I could be wrong but who ever served us was one of the ki
Came here on a whim the other night. What lovely warm friendly staff and very tasty food. I like the small tapas sized portions as it leaves room for the yummiest Rose flavoured Kulfi I ever tasted, Indian sweets and a cocktail for my friend. Even the rice was delicious. Would be 5 stars but you sti
Desi is a real hidden gem of a restaurant, it serves some of the best Indian food in Bristol. I don't understand why other reviewers have complained about prices and portions, the portions are small because it's a tapas style menu and the prices reflect that. We got 2 samosas, 2 pakoras, 2 different
Desi curry is probably one of the best curries I've had in years. Absolutely delicious. Starter, main and rice for under £10. And it isn't swimming in cooking oil like most other curry's out there. The Lamb Special excellent. Chicken tandoor is also an excellent dish.
Absolutely fanatastic!! Third visit here and have never been dispointed!! Excellent food and great value. Have tried 5-6 different curries and all are as good as each other.. staff were great too especially Leesha and billy! Slowly becoming our regular for a curry and a pint!
Small but charming little South Asian restaurant. Flavoursome food, perfectly-sized tapas-style portions, friendly staff and good value for money. And the COCKTAILS are AMAZING!
4 of us ate there last night for my wifes birthday. Considering we live just round the corner I can't believe it took us so long to try it. Can't fault them on anything to be honest. Food and service were excellent and it's cheap enough for a 'no reason' wednesday meal out. Very impressed.
Delicious! Fine range of authentic Indian food, easy to see that each recipe has been deliberated on and perfected over many years. Would recommend to a friend
Been several times now. The food is always perfectly cooked and very tasty! Staff very friendly and helpful too.
Lovely place but quite small. Limited menu but what they offer is very tasty. Dairy free and gluten free options too.
Lovely Indian food and great service! Be warned, the food is deceptively filling! Don't over order.
Been here about 5 times now for lunch and evening meals. Absolutely superb. Nothing at all I can mark them down on. My go to place to eat.
We had a great takeaway from here, all the food was really fresh and tasty. Pakora were AMAZING! Highly recommended
Delicious! We had everything on the menu and it was all tasty. Friendly staff and good atmosphere.
Really tasty food. Good value. Friendly relaxed atmosphere. Great local place to eat
A lovely restaurant..Gorgeous food at good prices! We had several dishes all of which were delicious.
Great lunch with good distinctive flavours - esp the pakoras, bombay potato, rasmalai, mango lassi.
