Proper authentic Portuguese food. I spend a lot of time in Portugal and this really reminds me of the proper local food there, but the pork flavour and batatas fritas were much tastier! Really friendly service too, and great pastel de nata’s. Muito bom, obrigado!

Consistently really nice food. Friendly and pleasant. Get a pastel de nata too for after your meal - they are these little custard and cinnamon pastries and they are just fantastic. Everything comes with salad and either rice or chips. The rice is good but the chips are excellent, browned to perfection.

Small Portuguese restaurant inside the St Nick market. Great variety of Portuguese food (francesinha, chicken piri piri, meatballs, cod, pastel de nata). Food tastes like homemade food, they accept card but don't sell alcohol. 4 tables, 2 inside and 2 outside. Friendly staff.

I've been to this place countless times and I can assure you it's the cheapest and tastiest place to eat at in St Nicks! The food is authentic and there's plenty of options for all tastes. 100% recommend.

They make the best egg custard tarts in Bristol! The food is usually served with rice, chips AND salad for about £6 or less. This is one of my favourite places to eat

Great food and great value too. I go there every now and then since it's decent value and the food is always great. It's always good to have some portuguese food to remember when I was still living in Portugal. Please continue working the way you do.

Has been here at least 12 years, I first went down during Euro 2004 (don't mention the final…). The menu has barely changed in that time, but that's a good thing. Comfort food, Portuguese style – large platefuls of rice/chips with stews of cod, chicken, pork etc. Eat elbow-to-elbow at the tiny tables, or ask for takeaway. And you must try the pasteis de nata (preferably with a coffee). These rich, sweet and creamy egg custard tarts in crumbling pastry are a characteristic treat all over Portugal. They are also served now in places like Nandos etc. but Portuguese Taste made them famous around here and rightly so. I had my first one here years ago and the experience proved instantly addictive. So remember to stop by for one, even if you've already had your main course elsewhere! Just please don't take the very last one, in case I am on my way…
