Lovely pub for a mid afternoon drink and a sit by the fire. The staff were pretty friendly but there’s no old school landlord vibes here, so maybe not for you if that’s what you’re looking for; at the Cambridge it seems a bit more craft ale and modern tones.
I guess their menu and everything must be fairly tightly controlled by the Fuller’s brewery, so if that’s your thing then you’re in!
Any criticism? It was a chilly afternoon and quite chilly in the pub, which is why we sat in front of the open fire. As with so many pubs establishments, the staff need to understand that sitting is not the same as working and that customers will stay longer if they’re not cold. If not for this I would give 5 stars.
Another superb visit. I can now confirm the food was very, very good. Dogs also welcome and a lovely couple of pints of hophead. Excellent value.
Cannot comment on food but a great selection of ales. Lovely staff and very child friendly. Have a large grassed garden. Been over 15 years since last visit, will be going again very soon. Dogs allowed on a lead.
Food wasn't outstanding but was very nice wholesome pub grub. Atmosphere could be improved with music. Service was very good however. Will go again, very relaxed vibes and lovely staff, don't rule this one out. Could be improved with more attention to the beer garden - could be regular live music / comedy venue / better landscaped or planted.
We went to the Cambridge Arms for a wonderful Sunday Roast yesterday!
Superb food, lovely presentation and epic portion sizes!! I had the pork roast (which was cooked absolutely perfectly), but I wish I had opted for the 3 meat roast so I could try it all!! Plus they also have plenty of non-roast options available too on Sundays ☺️🙌
Wheelchair accessible entrance, with an adjacent car park; and dog friendly too! (Connoisseur pub dog Mason says a big thank you for all the smooths and chicken feet treats) 🙏 We didn't manage to book beforehand, but they happily accommodated us anyway - even though it was late and they were already pretty busy!
The Cambridge is easily the best pub in Redland! ♥️ Big shout out to the lovely bartenders Waldo, Adrian, Daisy and Owen; and the mega talented chef - Thank you all for being wonderful ☺️☺️
I have lived near this pub for many years and have never actually been in. Today had the Sunday roast, truly fantastic. Lovely polite professional staff, the pub itself is very nice inside. I would recommend and definitely come back.
Wonderful Romeo and Juliet theatre show "You all know the story..."
I chose the chicken with bacon, bbq sauce and cheese because it's gluten free. It was absolutely delicious. Service was excellent. Great choice of drinks. We sat inside but the beer garden looked impressive with lots of tables. It was very Covid-19 safe and well organised. Thank you.
Never been before, but stopped for food. Great selection of drinks and the food was very good. The rear garden could do with a bit of attention, and the general pub garden equipment could be hidden away a but better when not in use
Really nice place for a pint and a chill. Plenty of seating inside and out and the drinks selection is great. Highly recommended.
Beautiful pub.Really lovely staff and the best roast dinner! Dog friendly too which is a massive bonus!
Lovely chicken schnitzel, succulent, generous portion of chips, fresh salad. Nice pinot grigio.
Good beer and very helpful staff (sorted out an extra chair for the benches outside); didn't have time for food this visit but the plates on the tables of others looked delicious. Keep up the good work :)
Lovely establishment nice food nice space been a few times now would recommend
Awesome Sunday roast. Had a family celebration there for 14 people. The service was excellent, especially Sophie and Adrian. Very good at dealing with some allergies and dietary requirements too. The food was very good too. I would highly recommend.
Lovely food, perfect & plentiful gluten free options.
Great pub food, friendly staff, good service
Had Sunday lunch here. It was very popular. Food was very good and staff lovely. The only bad thing was the table, 4 of us squashed onto a table, which would have been more suitable for 2.
