This is a amazing place for steak. We enjoyed the early bird special and was bot disappointed. The rump I had was thick and almost the texture of fillet and full of flavour. Was very please with the childrens menu too. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. All the people in our party enjoyed great
Been here for the 30oz sharing steak which was one of the best I've ever had. Sides and wine list are fantastic too.
Also been here for full english breakfast and a flat white which i couldn't fault. Highly recommend.
Fantastic food. Expensive but worth it. Lots of character inside.
Simple menu, great steak with amazing sauce/sides.
Really great fillet steak but have to buy sides separately.
We thought we'd give the early evening deal a try, which was a 6oz D-cut rump steak, fries, sauce and a glass of house wine for £15. It was one of the best rump steaks I've ever had. The wine was really nice too. We also went for deserts, which were lovely. The staff were friendly and attentive. Hig
Definitely the best steak in Bristol. I order a fillet steak medium-rare and I got exactly that. It was really tender. Sides were fresh and pleasant. Decor is really nice and atmosphere was quite warm. Staff were very polite and friendly. It is an expensive restaurant but it's worth a visit in my op
Never had a bad steak here. The medium-rare is cooked just right and there's a good selection of sides, such as triple-cooked chips and mac & cheese. The restaurant itself is stylishly decored like a classy Wild West establishment. It's just rather expensive (e.g the 10.5oz rib-eye at £26 should be
Went on Sunday evening when the restaurant was reasonably quiet and really enjoyed our 'date night' dinner at The Ox. We had very lovely ribs and an unusual hake dish, both nicely cooked. Service is friendly, the wine we selected was good and the restaurant is comfortable. Recommended.
The Ox Clifton is the sister restaurant of the one in the centre of town. Just like the original, the food it amazing, the best steak I've ever eaten with inventive and tasty sides and deserts. As well as the normal menu, there is a lunch special, so for around £12 you can have a steak, side and win
Family meal on a quiet Monday evening, service was swift and staff lovely- although there was a mistake made on one steak (rib-eye instead of the Sirloin) but quickly rectified. The menu isn't all that varied or exciting (the desert menu could also be more inspired) but the food was excellent and w
I had a Fillet steak - fantastic steak but pretty expensive all round. The black pudding starter had great flavour but left me wanting more, with at most one slice of black pudding cut into 4 cubes. The decor is very nice, and the staff were all friendly and laid back.
This place has great steaks, wonderfully delicious side dishes and friendly staff. I go there nearly once a week on my own to enjoy a steak ( girlfriend isn't a big meat fan). It's also great for groups!
Best fillet steak I've had in years. Rare was perfect as the meat is well hung and tended before it's cooked. Great service too, thanks guys for a wonderful evening
