I love this pub, so much so I don't want too many people to know about it lest it become too popular that I can't get in the door! It's small and easily missed, just off Whiteladies road. Really (naturally) friendly staff, great beers, a lovely warm atmosphere with wooden furniture. A favourite of m
Awesome roast, wonderful staff and cracking beer in what must surely be Bristol's highest pub!
Called in for a pint after arriving at Temple Meads. Barman was ontheball, friendly and hyper-efficient, he had my order (in a welcoming manner!) in under a minute. I ordered an ale and a goats cheese sandwich, which came quickly and was very tasty, fresh ingredients nicely presented. Clean, atmosph
Lovely knowledgeable passionate young (to me) folk run this pub.
Great ales and really good food. Sumptuous home made bar snacks (big sausage rolls, scotch eggs and other yummies). Log burner in the winter, secluded little patio garden with distant views of Ashton court. Probably the best roast dinn
Delicious roast dinner. Lovely, cosy pub. I had roast chicken, Yorkshire pudding, stuffing, greens, roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, parsnips. Was so good.
Brilliant local pub, especially if you (like me) try to avoid the chains. From other comments I'm getting the impression the place was "tarted up" recently but, as visitors, we thought it had great atmosphere, and was clean and bright without being too "modern." Food was absolutely first-rate - es
We went for vegetarian Sunday lunch and the Vegetable and Stilton bake was fantastic, I can't wait to go back.
Definitely give it a go. Staff, service and setting was lovely.
Great little pub all tucked away but with a great ambience.
Great food. Great service. Great beer
We went for Sunday lunch and had a lovely time. Definately will be returning
Really great place, me and my hairless dog enjoy it. Waiting for him to be a really good boy to get him a dog roast😅
Tasty dishes at our local. Sat in the garden after a long time. Enjoyed the sunshine, not so much the view... it definitely needs some love out there
Had the burger. Slightly dry but overall a good burger. Barman was very accommodating. All in all a positive experience. Will be back.
Absolute gem of a pub. I always say customer service is everything. The snack choices were incredible. Had a homemade sausage role and a homemade scotch egg and combined with some home made chutney was delicious. Drink choices are good, decor is nice.
Best part of it is having Anna Serve drinks gives an extra do the atmosphere
Port Of Call...one that I'd stop by every time when I'm in Bristol...to put it simply ...a real pub ,one anyone would love as their local.
