Absolutely lovely dining experience and most definitely will recommend Hole in a the Wall to others! Ambience was perfect, everything neat and clean, and our server Gaby was delightful and made sure everything was perfect. Myself and a friend ordered the premium fillet and ribeye steaks, which were cooked to perfection (thank you Chef Adam!) There was a lot which appealed to me on the menu, and the starters we had were delicious.
We had an amazing experience here. The food and the ambience is amazing. The staff is friendly, cooperative and courteous. We were served by Fin who is very apt, friendly and has a positive persona. Thank you Fin and Chef Adam for a scrumptious meal and a great experience. My family and I had a lovely time and I would surely like to visit this place again 💕💕💕
Good beer, great food, and good service.
A huge piece of cod that was in a light, crispy batter. The fillet steak ciabatta that my friend had was also very good. Served with a beef dripping accompaniment which was delicious.
Saw this place while taking a walk, & I loved the name & outdoor vibes. Came back later in the evening with a friend, & it was an instant hit.
I am a huge fan of music, and the playlist was amazing, they had Bose speakers(good taste!). Got a couple of cocktails that were really good. We went inside for a bit & I really liked the seating & lighting too.
Service was good too, the guys at the bar were friendly. Can't wait to go back again.
Came to Bristol for weekend holiday. Amazing Suday Roast. I had duo beef roast which was very tender and tasty. Gravy was super delicious too. Very friendly and amazing service. Liked the vibe of the place. Would love to come back again
Delicious Sunday roast cooked to perfection by Adam & Jacques, with exemplary service from Maia. An absolute must if you're visiting Bristol.
Food is delicious and fish is fresh. Chips are great too. We waited quite a while for the food to arrive but it is worth the wait.
My mum and I enjoyed a lovely dinner here. The bar staff namely Frankie was absolutely lovely. So welcoming so polite and couldn’t do enough to accommodate us. She directed us to the restaurant and Kieran was our waiter. Such a lovely polite hardworking gentleman. Constantly waiting on us whilst managing many other tables running up and down the stairs whilst giving each guest an enjoying experience . Our tip reflected our experience. Definitely would return. One of few places these days which is managed so well and has excellent service with credit to our encounter with Frankie and Kieran. Your hardwork is certainly noticed and appreciated guys
Really good location. Has lots of space indoors and out. Very good food and drinks selection. You can order and pay from your table using an app. Service was fast and food quality was good.
Came here with some friends from work for a roast & had a lovely time! Amazing service from Lauren & Chloe who were so friendly. Food was so so tasty and came out very quickly. Highly recommend 🩷🩷🩷
It was a great experience with the family. The place is steeped in centuries of history and immaculately maintained. We were given personal attention and superb service by Fin who also assisted us to decide and place our order. Chef Adam's recommendations of Fish cake and Roast lamb were perfect. The taste and the memories will linger for long. Would love to visit again to experience the ambience and savour the delicious food.
Lauren and Chloe were amazing and we had the best roast ever! The food cooked by Adam and Jacque was tastyyyy best roast I’ve had in ages ~ will be back next week 😎 pic of the horseradish because the roast was demolished ðŸ¤
Great spot for a late afternoon lunch, although quite quiet at that time, it is usually very busy. The food was excellent and the wait staff very friendly. There is a nice atmosphere indoors but we took the opportunity to enjoy the sunshine at one of the patio tables. Will definitely be back
Great food and amazing service from Eve!
Would definitely recommend and come again!
Staff very welcoming, friendly, informative and organised. Surroundings clean and nicely decorated. Place was busy but still felt relaxed. Space for large family dinner was perfect as it was part of the dining area but seperate (not just shoved in a corner .
Great Sunday roast and very friendly waiter Fin. Food was delicious and good value.
We sat in the garden and had a few drinks in the sunshine and returned later for food. We had no booking and it was Saturday evening. The staff were absolutely fantastic especially Jenna who looked after us. She is a credit to Mitchell & Butler. The food was absolutely superb and very rasty. I would highly recommend this fantastic place.
We came for a family meal the evening before our Civil Partnership in a group of ten with a wide range of access and sensory needs. At our request we were accommodated downstairs, music was turned off in our area and our last minute decision to switch from high to low tables was fully facilitated. Our food, cooked by Ram, was delicious and praised by all. Kieran's service at the table was attentive and his willingness to communicate with the kitchen to ensure all dietary needs were met was truly impressive. And all this early on Thursday (the new Friday) evening when the bar and garden were very busy. Fine work!
