Truth be told, my first impressions from the gaudy exterior was that the phone had picked out a bog-standard high street Chinese. How wrong I was. The menu is full of Cantonese classics, and highlights included an enormous steamed sea bass, perfectly al dente choi sum with oyster sauce, and a fragrant anise-scented soya chicken. Service was first class too, with the amiable owner offering advice on what dishes would suit our diverse party. Not every dish worked but more did than didn't.

Good food, service and ambience like traditional Chinese. We ordered dumplings, boiled fish in chilli oil, stir fried pork (BBC winner), egg rice and jasmine rice. The portion was good size so high price for items was justified. The food was banging, both our main dishes tasted very authentic. Pork had bit high salt but it tasted yumm with the rice. Fish was heavenly I would visit them again. We also ordered a takeaway however were very disappointed with the takeaway. End result, eat in the restaurant if you want authentic Sichuan flavours. A good thing is that they offer loyalty points which are nearly 10%. So if you eat regularly it may be better.

I’ve been ordering lunches from Wong’s almost everyday for a long time. The staff here are friendly, the food is delicious (large portions!) and the price is good. They serve authentic Chinese dishes.

Service was slow but not unreasonably so to begin with, the waiting staff needed the food orders pointed out on the menus as they didn't to appear speak English, which was not a problem. When the sizzling beef came out it looked delicious but disappointingly they forgot to bring the rice and needed reminding twice. We waited a little too long for that and I although the rice was lovely I couldn't distinguish between the plain jasmine rice and egg fried rice. £75 for two courses and one drink each made it quite pricey I feel but I'd visit again.

Went for a birthday meal and the restaurant was excellent. Love the decor of the restaurant and the food was brilliant and is an authentic taste of Chinese cuisine. The staff made us very welcome and provided excellent service throughout the evening. Definitely coming back to try more of their menu

We ordered from Wong's using UberEats on 3rd of March 2021. The quality of the food was good and the order was here fairly quick. We ordered Black Bean Sauce Beef, Sweet and Sour Chicken, and Lemon Chicken + 1 Egg fried rice. I must say the quantity was okay for 2 people but i rated this as 4 stars due to the price. It's on the £££ especially when considering its a take away and you don't get the service and setting of the restaurant... 42£ was a bit much.

One of the most authentic Chinese food I’ve ever tried in Bristol. The owner of the restaurant is also very kind.

Had a pre show meal at Wongs as a special treat. Menu was full of very very different food we'd never thought of trying before. Food was lovely, not greasy, portions are big, so 2 could share easily. Service was efficient and friendly. Atmosphere was quite authentic and expensive looking. Had we not been going to a show after, I would of tried the Jellyfish in dark vinegar. I asked the waiter what his thoughts were and he said(it's quite out there, so if your not sure, I wouldn't try it). Looking forward to going back nearer Christmas time. Would recommend to others and recommend also to book. We didn't see a disabled access to this entrance.

We had some excellent vegan Chinese food at Wong's last night, where they have an impressive vegan menu. I think we ordered nearly half of the vegan options out of excitement. Everything was tasty and very obviously freshly made. BONUS: Thier head chef, Annie, went vegan three months ago, and is very happy to feed all the vegans in Bristol!

Lovely food, and big portions. The Mao Zedong poster was🔥. I recommend the duck and the pork belly. The jellyfish (in the middle) was ok, and it was the first time I had jelly fish so I can't really say much about how it was prepared. Overall a nice experience.
