Everything about this place was amazing. Some of.the best tapas I've had outside Spain, the food overall was excellent - my personal highlight was the octopus, cooked to perfection! Very attentive, friendly and helpful waiter. The atmosphere was very good, great views over the harbour, a good vibe and that amazing smell of freshly prepared Gambas when you enter - can't beat that. Can't wait to come back!
We had an amazing dinner at Gambas. The food, atmosphere and service was perfect. One of the best octopus dishes I've eaten outside of Portugal and Spain. Highly recommended.
Delicious food, all freshly cooked and great ingredients. Great service eventhough it was busy - waitress recommended three plates each so went for that. Portions not huge but so tasty. Great drinks selection.
Pretty pricey for size of portions and expensive wine but worth it. We both had a great night and will be back as want to try other things on the menu.

We enjoyed our meal so much we came back the next day to eat here again. We started with croquetas on both days, the first was flavoured with blood sausage and the next with mushrooms, both were superb. Many things stood out, for example the mussels were the best I've been served in England for years (so often wizened and disappointing, not here), they were huge, plump and perfectly cooked (see the photo). The calamares were fried n the lightest of batters and deliciously crisp, the octopus was just so tender, the tortilla - gooey in the middle just as it should be. the staff obviously take pride in the food and took real care of us. The restaurant is built into a cargo shipping container with views of the river. We sat at a table outside watching the buzzy life going on all around us. If you enjoy seafood this is the place to go in Bristol.

Decided to come back after visiting a few years ago, and it's exactly how I remember, such fresh and flavourful food! Good choices for gluten + dairy allergy, paired with a great list of white wines. Staff are so helpful and friendly. Top choice for tapas, will be visiting again
Incredible food, best Tapas we've had in a long time, struggling to remember better in the UK. Staff are great too, really friendly and helpful. Went twice in 3 days! Tortilla is amazing, Gambas Pil Pil also superb but all the dishes we tried were great to be honest
It was my first time at Gambas and I loved it. I decided to sit outside despite of the bad weather. Great view and calm.
I ordered "patatas bravas" "Calamares a la Andalusa" "pan con alioli" and "courgettes with almond". All was delicious! "Crema catalana" as dessert is a must.
The service was amazing! Gonçalo and Hande were nice and helpful. I loved the place and the experience in general!
Great evening spot. Great food. The gambas cooked to perfection... food presentation is very good and every component compliments each other. First time tried cured monkfish and it was quite nice. They have a few options for vegetarians. Photos are red cause we were under the heater 😉
Had a fabulous long lunch on Friday food was exceptional,, lovely staff its nice to see the chefs cooking your food! Definitely will be returning.
I came here with my Spanish best friend who has found it hard to find good spainish food in the UK. Gambas did not disappoint! We both loved it and the food was incredible! Also really cool to see an open kitchen and the atmosphere of being able to sit at the bar is great!
Will definitely be coming back!
