Lovely location looking over Bristol marina, very friendly owner who made the experience extra special. Two for £12 cocktails if you have the same and other drinks not too expensive concidering the view Would highly recommend a visit if passing.

Quite possibly one of the best Roast Dinners I have ever had! Beef Brisket was wonderful and veg was fresh, flavoursome and seasonal. Cauliflower cheese was amazing. Not the cheapest but thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful and will definitely go back. Excellent service too

What a lovely place, great views over the harbour and the water with really helpful staff. We even saw Ben Shepherd from Good Morning Britain and Tipping Point on Monday night after filming on Bristol! 😁 Drinks have been great and food tasty... Highly recommended, steak night on Tuesday! 😁 See you there... As an aside its out of the wind that other cafes locally suffer from as its in a dip, and has heaters outside for warm Al fresco dining!

Overall a fantastic little place and not over priced, especially for the area. We were a group of four and was greeted with a friendly service. The layout and design is contemporary with a very nice panoramic painting covering the back wall. The front facade consists of multiple bifolding doors which are great for those sunny days and warm nights. For food we ordered risotto, avocado and poached eggs with a tomato salsa, the chunky bacon in flat bread and a portion of double dunked chunky chips. Now the first issue is a matter of personal taste and perception. The double dunked chips we're not actually chips but rather potato wedges with the skin still on. Many people like this option, in fact the other 3 members of the group loved them. I, however, do not like the skin on variety. There is definitely a difference in taste so they should be described as such on the menu. Admittedly they were cooked to perfection, a soft crisp on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside but unfortunately I just don't like the flavour when the skin has been left on. The poached eggs and avocado dish was amazing, runny soft eggs over avocado layered toast accompanied with a sweet and juicy tomato salsa. The bacon and flat bread fell a bit flat. It was more panceta than chunky bacon with a chewy under cooked rind swimming in grease and the flatbread (large tortilla) was chewy and rubbery. The risotto was the worse dish. 3 of us tried and had the exact same response. Tasted of watered peas, very bland and well over cooked so it was like a pile of mush. The service was great and as I paid the bill I explained our thoughts and it was nice to see the chef to actually listen and appreciate the feed back. Overall, definitely recommended

I visited the Broken Dock on Saturday 23rd October with a few friends. We ordered two Proper Breakfasts and two Eggs Royal and loads of coffee as we were slightly worse for wear. The service was top class, really friendly staff, and the food? Oh boy it was amazing, that huge slab of slightly smoky thick cut bacon is divine. And when they say thick cut, they bloody well mean it too! Everything on the plate was perfectly cooked, the black pudding was very tasty, the slightly vinegary mushrooms were delightful, I'm salivating as I write this, it was really that good!!! A perfect start to the day!

Some places you don't want to review, so that they stay quiet and perfect. Broken Dock is too good to stay quiet about though. Morning breakfasts are delicious, light but filling. Perfectly cooked eggs, tasty meats, great service. Plank boards in the evening are incredible, plenty of choice and flavours. Compared to most tasting boards in Bristol, they get the right mix between temptation and quantity. Sadly destined to be packed in summer, but thoroughly deserved

I spent 4 days in Bristol and only spotted this place at the end. We booked in for brunch at 10am and sat in the lovely pub. Given menus and ordered a vegetarian brunch and a proper brunch. Both came quickly and were freshly cooked. The bacon was so thick! Absolutely amazing food. Couldn't fault it at all.

Really fantastic find. This place deserves much more than the current 4.3 rating. Every factor is excellent. Service, ingredients, presentation. The only tiny thing was that the poached eggs were not quite runny enough. Definitely give this place a visit. Everything on the menu is excellent.

Visit 1: Best Salt & pepper squid you’ll find in Bristol. Visit 2: Pork Belly Roast - perfect for those that prefer quality over quantity.
