We loved this joint! Great Sunday roast. I wanted something different so went for their goat's cheese and sweet potato wellington and it was 😙👌🏽 Rounded it off with a vanilla ice cream affogato (see my badly recorded video 😂) Definitely wanna come back here one day 🫶🏽

We came here with our 6 and 2 year old children. The food was great, but it's the environment that made it. Chilled out vibe with comfy sofas for the family. Helpful staff, very relaxed. Thank you

Had a lovely roast at Bocabar yesterday. I am coeliac AND veggie AND dairy free AND don't eat white potatoes so it's quite hard for me to eat out. Happily, Bocabar were able to cater for me with their nut/lentil roast. I have deducted a star because I wasn't able to have a yorkshire pudding or croquettes due to them not being gf and there being no gf alternative. If I am honest I wouldn't have been able to eat any more than what I was given anyway but it would have been nice to have the choice. The nut roast came with a tomatoey sauce, which was ok but I would have preferred some normal (gf) gravy tbh. Also my broccoli spear was undercooked but no biggy. The roasted cabbage was an unexpected delight and the carrots were nice. Parsnips sadly lacking in crunch and a bit bland but that could have been the lack of salt (see below). My boyfriend had the chicken and said it was really nice but it also came with an alternative (milky?) gravy and he would rather have had traditional. He said the roast potatoes were amazing. They certainly looked great - really crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. I had the Raspise (I think) to drink and it was possibly the nicest drink I have ever had (see photo - not the best pic of me ever but I think it captures my delight). It's like being snogged by a particularly delicious raspberry. The staff were lovely - friendly, attentive, nice bit of banter etc. I could have done with salt and pepper on the table because I didn't realise I needed it until the end of the meal but I guess that speaks to the wonderful company I was keeping ☺️

A great place outside Bristol City Centre with a lovely atmosphere, excellent food and efficient and friendly service. We had 4 different dishes, all of which were lovely, and very reasonably priced. A small Chicken Caesar Salad, a small Feta Cheese Salad, a Toasted Falafel Wrap and Falafel Salad Bowl. With a very generous and very good portion of fries which we shared between all 4 of us. Nice drinks range too. The pizzas looked amazing. Huge and lots of toppings. They also had a small plants range for sale.

Good selection of pizzas and a good offering of local produced ales. Often a good locally prepared IPA goes down well. Can get very busy at certain times so booking is often advised. I have noticed the service charge has suddenly crept onto the bill but the server was happy to remove it when questioned.

For some reason I have stayed away from here, I don't really know why, perhaps a previous visit was too noisy? Anyway my wife and I tried it after our usual places nearby were closed and are so glad we did. The vegan pizza was delicious and they cooked it so well with me add ones etc to one side some could share. Great fries, nice drinks and good menu. Yes it can get busy but that's the nature of the place. Will certainly now use it again

Our first visit. I really cant fault anything. The staff were friendly and polite with good sense of humour. There is free parking just behind the restaurant. The ambience is great. We ordered a brunch which tasted great, then coffees and 3 cakes. So hard to chose which one to order. They all look amazing. We will be back.

Bocabar from the outside, you cannot figure out how big and amazing it is from the inside. For sure, it is a great surprise. This is the kind of place, you go and forget about weater, time, problems, and everything from the outside. Fair price (a bit expensive I must say) however, good service and perfect pizza indeed.

A lovely place to head to for some tasty pizzas (tons of options!) and a nice lager. Atmosphere is very personal and comforting - the restaurant area in the back is a nice change from the bar area in the front as well. Tasteful decoration and accommodating staff!

We come here a lot, being local. The food is usually very good, occasionally we find that the food can be too salty and there is a lack of options for young children. Large dining room and bar area so you usually always get a decent seat. Beer selection is pretty good however they've gradually reduced the amount of pump beer over the years and opted for more taps. Recommend: They do a very good full English! Somerset Picante pizza is my personal favourite. Chips and dips are a must, purely for the garlic mayo!

Never mind the luvvies, this place ain't bad at all... I'm not into characterising a place by the people that visit it, but Bocabar would be nicer if people like me didn't visit it. It's lovely inside with an acceptable range of (proper) beers, wines and spirits and the kitchen knocks out some pretty fine fare. More on that in a minute. What I'm not so comfortable with is the middle class clientele, who all seem a bit... well, smug. (I would add myself into this bracket out of objectivity). But my opinion regarding the clients should quite rightly have no bearing on the venue, so back to the review. Sunday roast x2, one beef, one pork belly and x2 enormous margerhita pizzas, one with an additional topping of pepperoni. Oddly, my 10 year old demolished his with gusto, whereas my food fussy 13 year old struggled with sheer capacity. Sadly, both pizzas were (very) oily, the pepperoni one even more so to the point of saturation on the underside of the base from the meat, pesto and good quality cheese. I'm being critical here: my youngest loved it. The roasts were undeniably good with an excellent side of glazed spring vegetables. Being critical, the beef was slightly dry. With the pork belly, all parts excellent save the beautifully crafted crackling, wound into flat rolls. These were pretty as decoration only as they weren't fresh, the oil having turned rancid. This was not a point of particular concern and did not warrant complaint, so, with objectivity in mind, it's not correct for me to report in this manner, rather than immediately to the kitchen. Here it is anyway. All in all, a great visit on a wet and windy Saturday and a great treat for a family of four indeed.

Very nice place to have pizza. Big warehouse with amazing seats. We had some pizzas and craft beers. Best pizza in Bristol in my opinion.

Expensive but probably worth it considering the chill atmosphere inside and the superb quality of pizza. Drinks are on the pricey side but again only quality bottles are stocked.

Not bad at all! Came here for lunch after hearing so many great things about the pizzas. Huge place with a chill atmosphere. Staff weren't that friendly but nothing to complain about. As a massive fan of pizzas, I can say they were good but had far too much oil and were slightly burnt. Still, I would definitely go back for another!
