Went here for the £5 lunch the other day. Very surprised by the quality, as not expecting much for £5. I had the Chicken and pepper Salad and my partner had an usual twist on Cottage Pie, it was a Chilli Cottage Pie with Sweet Potato Mash topped with Cheese. It was great value for money and the food was very good., very tasty . As a bonus there was 20% off our Drinks, Happy Hour, could easily become Happy all day, but we had to return to work. We both commented how good the Real ale was, Tribute and Bath Gem. well done Racks and we will return, shortly.
Top Burgers. This place does blimmin great burgers! You get plenty for your money and it's really really good quality too. Comes with nice chips and a pot of salsa and it's all served on a wooden board which looks really cool. I think it's about £10 but on Monday nights it's 2 for 1 (every week). So that works out as great value for money. In my opinion, it's the best place in Clifton to get a really good burger.

Visiting from Spain and staying close, Racks has been an amazingly friendly atmosphere even for a single traveller. In particular I had exceptional service from Jasmine who helped me select my meal this evening from a variety of small bites (which ended up a very tasty and filling meal - great recommendation thanks Jasmine). Really tasty and great variety. Slow cooked lamb, Halloumi fingers and spicey chilli sauce and smoked salmon and dill fishcakes ... Fabulous!!
Yesterday I tried the Hereford Beef burger - really delicious and perfect fries. Had very friendly service from Paul. (great sense of humour!)

Delightful spritz’s (2 for £12!) and really lovely outdoor space - the garden is a sun trap. Had great service from Jasmine, couldn’t have asked for a more attentive waitress!
The shepherd pie and steak sandwich was excellent as they were tasty and flavourful! The dish portion was decent and presented in a nice way.
We had great service at Racks, went in for a coffee, then booked breakfast which was excellent, then booked for Sunday Lunch.
Nothing was too much trouble for Bob, Rachael looked after us at the table extremely well!
Had to come back as we enjoyed it so much last year! Lexi was fantastic, portions were spot on and the food was exceptional. Looking forward to the next one.

Great, and speedy service. We sat outside under the pergola and listened to some tunes. It was 27' outside and could have been on holiday! Great atmosphere. We live outside Bristol but agree that we'd make a journey to come here again.

I visited recently on a lovely sunny Septembers day and was served at the bar by a charming lady called B, it was incredibly busy inside but she took the time to make me feel welcome and found me a seat outside. Some people say you can't get the staff these days, but in this case, you certainly can. The food was exceptional, even under under the busy circumstances. I had a lovely time.
Wonderful place Wonderful food. Wonderful kind attentive staff. Who made us laugh and made jokes with us. It's the first place I'll be visiting when I come back to Wonderful Bristol l.
Went to Racks Bar & Kitchen last night for a meal with friends and the food was lovely, the set up was lovely and the staff just topped off an overall great evening! Obviously quite a popular place as the bar was rather busy at times but the young man working on the bar, Harvey, never dropped his smile - he was extremely polite, friendly and hospitable upon welcoming. Definitely recommend!!
Lexi H was an amazing waitress!
