Great pub and very friendly staff! Fantastic food! My company held a private corporate event there recently, the staff was amazing and really helpful. Everyone enjoyed themselve during the evening. Definitely recommend to try their menu!
We chose the Prince Street Social for our work Christmas-do because it was central and had an appealing menu. Two courses for £24.50 or three at £29.50. 25 of us arrived to two tables set out with crackers! Lovely atmosphere for celebrations. Staff brought out the pre-ordered food, beginning with the starters. I ate the trout which was firm, salty and served with a tangy salad.
Opting for the feather blade instead of turkey this year, I was pleasantly surprised. The beef was tender and juicy on the bed of greens. We had to request more roasted vegetable bowls because we only had a few to share between people.
They tried their best to get the right dishes to us. Good thing we brought the list of what we’d asked for. No one missed out. Service with a smile.
I enjoyed both my mulled wine & cider. Drinks are decently priced and I would recommend getting them from the bar to save bill discrepancies. Although the meal was paid in advance, there’s still service charge to consider.
Probably a little overpriced for what we get but I had a good time.
Service - staff were friendly and attentive. We never had an empty glass.
Offering - nice Prosecco and good food options including for vegetarians. You can choose between a large and a small brunch. We went for the small and found that to be plenty food! The food was delicious. They also offer a buffet section with pastries etc and although we didn’t try this we thought this was a nice addition which other establishments didn’t offer.
Atmosphere - every time I have been here it is very loud as there are large groups who seems to get louder and louder to be heard but I’m not sure what you can do about that. There were only 2 of us and we had a great time. The decor is authentic and welcoming.
Location - centrally located, convenient for public transport and taxis. Places nearby to go before/after.
Lovely bar staff! Great food and good gin selection!
We booked this venue for our Christmas party for 130 people. We were initially worried that the space wouldn’t be big enough for everyone to feel comfortable, however it was the perfect size, and had lots of different areas for sitting, dancing, chatting etc.
The staff were all extremely friendly, funny and helpful and all queries were dealt with quickly and efficiently.
The venue was decorated in advance of the party and crackers were provided, which relieved the pressure on us to have to do this. Venues don’t always provide this service and it was much appreciated that Prince Street Social did.
The buffet menu covered most dietary requirements and we only had to consider specific options for a few people. Though vegan options were included, the kitchen staff also offered to prepare mini nut roast dinners (which were not included in the agreed price). This was additional work and cost to the venue, which they kindly offered to ensure everyone was catered for. We had lots of feedback from our staff regarding how delicious and varied the food was. There really was something for everyone! We requested welcome drinks, which the staff prepared and handed out as people arrived. And additional drinks from the bar were very reasonably priced.
Overall this was a fantastic night, which was made better by the relaxed and cosy venue and the competent and supportive staff team at Prince Street Social. We will definitely consider this venue again in the future and would highly recommend for large parties and for a nice meal in smaller group.
Really impressed with these guys. I booked 8-10 people in for "drinks and nibbles" on my birthday. Three of them were vegan and the chef went out of his way to cater for them by creating a 'vegan special' that wasn't on the menu! Amazing. The service was good, the food was lovely, and we were in a nice corner of the restaurant all night.
I've also popped in for cocktails on a few occasions and they've always been good.
I went with my family for Sunday lunch. We booked ahead, but I think you should be usually fine if you pop in.
The staff were so helpful and friendly, leaving you to your meal but always on hand.
We each had different roasts. My lamb was juicy and tender, my Mum's chicken great and my Dad's pork topped with excellent crackling. Generous portions too. We had a lovely pint of bitter too. Unlike so many pubs, they've joined the craft beer revolution without forgetting that some customers enjoy a good bitter too.
We finished with excellent desserts (Eton mess and apple pie). There was a slight delay, but they provided free tea and coffee while we waited, and I'd be surprised if tiny issues like this happened often.
All in all, we had a lovely afternoon, and we saved a few quid booking through Wriggle, which we largely gave back in tips. If you're in Bristol, definitely give this place a try.
Perfect place for a Sunday lunch, just the right amount of choice to keep a variety of tastes satisfied but not so much as to overwhelm you on a chilled lunch with friends. A delicious and creative roast, served with a giant and unusual Yorkshire. Just the right amount of veg and just too many roasties so that you feel like you've been home for a roast! Relaxing atmosphere and welcoming staff.
Unbelievably good service! Came here with my mate for the first time and despite it being 9pm their kitchen was still open, a guy called Will served us and he was incredibly helpful and friendly! If any manager is reading this give him a pat on the back! They had vegan burgers here which was super cool as although we were only veggies it's brill to see places catering for vegans. The burger itself was a bit small but it came out fast and it was so tasty that it was definitely worth the money. I'd recommend here for sure!
Had an Xmas team lunch here and wasn't at all disappointed. Trout pate to start, and hake for my main. For me, the portion size was perfect, leaving just enough room for dessert as well as a few drinks. Service was also spot on. Not too many beers on tap, but there was a plentiful supply of bottles behind the bar. I would go back when I'm next in town
We had a Sunday lamb and it was very nice. Try the mint sauce! Good portion.

Really great taste of burgers for lunch! Still a little bit too expensive and too small to have a proper lunch.
Bottomless brunch. Brilliant service from Dolcie who looked after us really well. Can not fault the service as they topped up our drinks continuously. You will not be disappointed by the top ups! However, the food is just one basic choice, and although it was nice, it would have been good to have a traditional breakfast option or something a wee bit more substantial. X thanks though we had a great time x
Went there last Sat evening. We loved this place, attentive staff and great food Liked the fact that it catered for diners and people just coming in for drinks. We both had delicious starters and mains but couldn't find room for pudding! Would go back again when we next visit Bristol. Definitely recommend.
Great Sunday lunch with tasty beef, lamb or pork belly served with selection of root vegetables and gravy. Just right portion sizes, meat just right served medium rare. About £14 for a main, which is good value for quality and portions. Decent wine list with good choice of glass or bottles. Service friendly and bright, open feel to the bar.
Nice local with long tables and plenty of milling space. Fine beer selection and friendly staff. They also have a few more real ciders than you might find at your standard pub. We did indulge in halloumi fries while here, yummy if not slightly overpriced like halloumi fries everywhere. I would return here but generally for a group thing, maybe not to have a drink by myself.
