My experience at the Lido Clifton Pool in Bristol left me with a sense of polite disappointment. The staff, I must say, were truly exceptional in their friendliness and assistance. However, it's essential to mention that the overall cost-benefit ratio falls a bit short of expectations. The premises, while charming, lacked a dedicated space for relaxation, leaving guests without anywhere to chill. The main pool's temperature also left something to be desired, leading everyone to crowd into the small hot tub for warmth. On a positive note, the showers were a highlight, offering a refreshing and clean experience. The availability of luxurious robes added a touch of luxury and comfort to the visit. The cleanliness of the facility itself was commendable. The real star of the show was the on-site restaurant, which provided an incredible dining experience, truly setting itself apart. In summary, the Lido Clifton Pool, while not without its limitations, remains a lovely spot for some relaxation, featuring excellent staff, top-notch showers, and a dining experience that is simply unforgettable, even if the overall value for money could be improved.

The food and atmosphere is great, it's a bit higher end but it doesn't take itself too seriously either. I would definitely come back again. I love that the restaurant has an open air atmosphere and overlooks the pool.

Very nice evening atmosphere in the restaurant overlooking the pool. For three people the bill was £208.69 (discretionary service 12.5% reckoned in) and this included 1 bottle of Malbec, a rum, 2 starters (scallops) and 3 mains (lamb, crab), dessert and some sides. Food was tasty, but budget for the occasion, and it's a pleasant evening out.

Had a really wonderful day at the Lido with the swim and lunch package. Used the pool and the steam room before having food in the restaurant which was absolutely gorgeous. Really recommend for a nice day out or a voucher for a special occasion

My boyfriend and I went here for the evening swim and dine package. It was slightly busy when we arrived, but it soon quieted down. The facilities were great (Pool, sauna, hot tub and steam room). Our meal was amazing! Good sized portions and delicious. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Went with my husband for a 2 hour swim and dine after experience. Absolutely stunning! Be prepared for the outdoor pool as it is definitely kept at a chillier temperature than I anticipated (I felt fine but my husband couldn’t handle it even for one lap) so we alternated the steam room, sauna, and hot tub for the duration which is utterly delightful! There was also an ice bucket which I found great fun! Then the meal was absolutely delicious! My husband says he felt like a “class traitor” for it 😂 it was just all around a stunning experience and we’ll be coming back (when it’s warm again so husband can try the swim again).

Great food and setting next to the lido. They were very helpful and seemed to cater to allergies easily - I had good choice and a lovely meal. The food was delicious with complementary variety and flavours. It is tapas style where it is best to order 3-4 small dishes.

Absolutely remarkable. I've not had food so tasty in many, many years. Too frequent it is to spend good money on vaguely mediocre food, but this place is not that. Every morsel was bursting with flavour. Scallops as a starter were >the< finest, and the butter sauce that accompanied the dish was utterly devine. And there was me thinking up until that point that scallops are a bit "meh". Add a side of freshly baked sourdough bread with oil and balsamic to dip it in = this is a very good start to the evening. Mains of pan fried cornish hake for her and a seafood stew for me (I really can't remember the name of the dish, and "stew" does it no favours), both of us raptured as we savoured flavour. A terriblly naff phrase I'm afraid but it does fit the moment. Finally, wood smoked plums with a raspberry coulis and serving of mango sorbet for me, which honestly tasted so rich it could easily have been mistaken for a particularly good ice cream. And the setting of course - marvellous and unparalleled. Having demolished an entire bottle of wine to (mostly) myself, I then made a prat of myself by raving to the chef about his cooking wizardry, which he took in good humour and was both startled and flattered when I asked for his photo for this review. Well done Sir, keep it up, you genius.

We enjoyed the complete spa package with lunch. Definitely a great experience and what a treat. Delicious and rich food, great atmosphere and not too busy. I’d recommend taking flipflops for walking around the pool/sauna etc.

Birthday treat with a friend. We did swim and lunch package which was £40 per person. Pool was ok temperature but quite busy and not the biggest. However, we had a sunny day and pool was nice to cool down in. Sauna & steam rooms were nice and jacuzzi was super warm! The food was divine and would recommend as above afternoon treat.

Jenny is a superstar! First time we visited today. We had a few mix ups along the way however Jenny was smiley, friendly and really went out of her way to help us and make everything as smooth as possible. She is a asset to the company. She “Made” the experience for us today. Thank you Jenny.

Really enjoyed the swim, facilities were good. The pool was a little cool but it's a fantastic setup overall. The steam room was also great. Dined at the restaurant, food was excellent but service was a bit slow.

Lovely setting with pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna. Food and service were unfortunately not great - I don’t think they had enough staff. The service was slow and the coffee was like warm at best. We heard other complaints about the coffee temp too
