What more could you want in a local pub. 10/10 Matt the behind the bar deserves a raise. Even taught my friends how to correctly fry an egg, above and beyond. Perfect place for a pint or 2 (or more..)
Lovely traditional pub and dog ftiendly. We went for drinks only. Great beer but could have wider range. Quiet on the day we went which is a shame as its a real gem.
Matt is a very attentive landlord who clearly loves his pub. He really looks after his customers and serves great beer. The front of the pub is peaceful and sunny with a lovely view of a posh school.
Great place! Fun gigs - the Caribbean Night was nice and super atmosphere
Had the pleasure of playing at this beautiful little pub with my band recently! It's truly a hidden gem in Bristol, well stocked bar with a traditional feel to it and a gorgeous snug main seating area which has multiple skylights, very good seating and a wonderful atmosphere. The bar manager was al
Sunday lunch was edible but not great, I would not recommend it. Drinks and live music was great! 🥂💃
Cracking little find on our weekend in Bristol. Thanks, Matt for your warm and welcoming hospitality.
Very beautiful place. A classic pub. Totally local, cozy, friendly staff, great food and beautiful location. A hidden gem for people that doesn’t want to pay overpriced menus in touristic pubs
Couldn't have been more accommodating hosting our birthday party, great pub and beers. Scotch eggs second to none too! All the staff really friendly- a real hidden Clifton gem!
Fantastic night.great service, went above and beyond for us
We went in bang on midday on a weekday asking for food & they basically opened the kitchen up just for us. We had hot dogs, burgers & chips, all tasty & a good price - I was pleased to be able to get a vegan hot dog. Really welcoming & accomodating staff, lovely pub.
Great pub only had one pint of Australian IPA and it was excellent bitter and full of hop taste, we will be back. Coral the Dog liked the pub also... Yes we went again and the beer was great again. Both ate a five star meal talked to a few locals very friendly and a pleasant evening. Nice to find a
Amazing, friendly and inclusive pub. One of my favorites in the city. Good selection of beer, well poured n with a smile every time.
Nice cosy pub with friendly staff. As for the Sunday roast which was the main reason for going, the food was great quality all round. Nice flavours and gravy. Portion size was reasonable the only negative I can point out is just a little bit more meat wouldn’t go a miss. Lots of veg however.
Great local pub with good weekend entertainment. Food is lovely especially the hotdogs! Matt the landlord and his staff are always friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit especially on a Sunday when there is usually live music.
Adorably small and full of charm. More ale options would have been nice but as they only have a short life once opened its understandable if they can't get through it all.
I had my 40th birthday at The Eldon House and it was amazing! The staff are very friendly and helpful; they were able to provide a buffet menu for me to choose from, as well as endless bottles of Prosecco for my guests. They allowed us to rearrange the whole place to suit our needs and bring our own
Friendly bar staff member when we popped on a Tuesday evening. Nice building views out the front window. The beers we had were excellent even though the selection isn't vast (pretty standard Bristolish options). I would return here as a nice stop for a drink whilst walking up Clifton. The only reaso
