Reviews Farrow's Fish & Chips

Cute little place without much seating or parking nearby. Overall the experience was okay, but the service was oddly trite and not warm (which is surprising for the UK). The fish and the pickled eggs were definitely the highlights. The egg in particular was nice and light with a tart finish (not overwhelming at all). The cod was well fried and wasn't too greasy. The chip order (medium) was far too large for one person and we're a bit over fried and dried-out for my liking, but maybe it was just a poorly made batch.

Takeaway was good, always good quality ordered a regular cod and regular chips and a small battered sausage for 11.10 portion was slightly smaller than expected but was excellent

Popped in on Friday evening for a Friday Fish supper - Was busy but it didn't take long to get our order - Fish was tasty & batter crispy - chips were on point cooked to perfection - Farrows never fails to deliver - great local chippy Totterdown is lucky to have you folks!

Had an excellent Christmas dinner thanks to Farrows! Fish and chips are as excellent as you could hope. Traditional, but absolutely delicious.

tasty chippy in Totterdown in very convenient location. I’d heard it was the best in Bristol, it’s up there but was slightly expensive (presume prices have gone up due to cost of living?). The portion sizes are good but our plastic forks broke very quickly and you have to pay for sauces (60p) which is a shame!

Wow! What a choice of gluten-free! Cod, haddock & plaice, and even squid rings as a special on the gluten-free board. We had a feast, and great chips too. Busy & Friendly service. Well worth our 25 minute drive across town for, and still warm.

The Best Chippy in Bristol!! Been here a few times, the service and the food is of an incredible standard. Felt obliged to write this review after ordering from here last night. I was feeling old school so decided to ring ahead and go and pick up our meal myself as apposed to just going through Just Eat. I called at 17:00 and arrived there about 17:12 when I arrived the shop was packed with walk in's and Just eat delivery drivers waiting. I thought I may still be there a while. After a couple of mins of waiting I mentioned to the lady at the till that I had phoned ahead, she very nicely confirmed it would be ready in 1 min and then shortly after gave me my food. Despite being rushed off her feet (it seemed) she was very polite and to me that goes a long way. I was back home at 17:30 and the food was delicious. Great service, and even better food, especially the cod. No gimmicks with this chip shop, just good old fashioned fish and chips.
