Really good chicken burger! I had the cheeky clucker which had a chipotle maple sauce over deep fried chicken, it was delicious but quite spicy. The chicken was really crispy and succulent and the bun was a nice brioche type bun that worked really well.
I also had the truffle fries which were a special. These were a bit overpriced in my opinion and mostly tasted of Parmesan but still very tasty.
The service staff were brilliant and friendly and accommodated for 9 of us outside when we’d booked a table inside (in hindsight it was not really fair of us to ask that but it was a work social)

We visited Burger Theory on a Saturday night. We were 7 people.
The staff were extremely kind and served our table with a smile. I can also say we had a nice table with a long sofa.
All the food arrived with no mistakes and it tasted amazing. The hairy beast burger was definitely delicious.
It’s definitely pricy, so the following things for the price you pay definitely need improvement;
- The wings, for almost £7 were the smallest 6 wings I ever had in a restaurant of this type. If they didn’t taste nice I would be sending them back but honestly either put more for the customer, or ask your provider for larger sized wings.
-Dirty Fires, A lot of restaurants offer these option now. I definitely had dirtier and nicer fries elsewhere. And again, for £7.50 the fries should have been miles better (see photo attached).
-Toilets, honestly the men’s toilets are ready to simply fall on the ground floor. The tiles are completely broken, making you feel the floor is going to drop the second you stand on them. The “walls” were completely destroyed and had a lot of writings on them with markers. This place is a proper restaurant downstairs, I find it a joke that they are okay with the state their restrooms are!
The burgers here were stunning. The atmosphere was really relaxed and the staff were friendly and gave recommendations on what to try as my initial choice wasn't available that day. I ended up having the Moor burger and I was so happy with the choice. I usually don't go for beef burgers and prefer chicken but this really hit the spot. So far my favourite beef burger I've tried.
I had the best chicken burger I have ever tasted. I have never had the thigh meat on a chicken burger before. Wow it was delicious. The crumb coating was the crispiest and tastiest I have ever had and the portion size was large, even though I ordered a single. Absolutely delicious, all of it, the bun included and the slices of gherkin were thick and juicy, generous! Thank You Burger Theory, you know what you are doing! My husband had the beef and was equally impressed.

Burgers were amazing. Definitely will visit again.
Wow just wow, what can I say. This has to be one of the top 2 burger joints in Bristol. Me and my friends were treated to an absolute beast of a burger. It tasted fantastic, the price was great and the atmosphere was perfect. The staff on duty were helpful and it made the whole experience really nice. I will be back here pretty soon as I want to try the rest of the menu.
I tried The Hairy Beast burger with a side of Gravy Loaded Fries a mouth watering meal washed down with a ice cold pint of cider.
Well worth a visit
OK. Burger was nice - good flavour combos, but the patty was dry. Fries were good. Beer was nice but expensive. Service was very slow - our order was delayed and included with orders placed twenty minutes after ours, which was annoying. It was very cold inside as delivery pickups were made and the staff didn't close the door.
Delicious Burger, generous portions. The fries were equally good. I love the spicy ones. Not so much the fries with cheese. They also do mini burgers in the kids menu. Definitely recommend.
Came here recently for a work Christmas meal. Atmosphere was great, staff were friendly and the food was delicious. The fries were too good.
We weren’t a huge group but they had to split us into two tables which wasn’t the best but the restaurant is quite small so not the end of the world!
They had a frozen margarita on as a special and oh my days - it’s was so tasty! The service and atmosphere are really friendly and laid back, the restaurant itself is decked out really nicely. The burgers and sides are great , no notes :)
Stopped here for lunch today and was not disappointed. For £10 there were a number of different burgers to choose from which all came with fries.
I went for the Sheriff burger in the end and what a burger it was. Full of flavours and juices, thoroughly enjoyable. The fries were also very good and a sized decent portion.
I sat outside as it was lovely and sunny and there were plenty of seats. Staff here were really friendly and the service was quick.
I'll be coming back here for sure 🍔🙌
If you love a good burger, and pass through Bristol, you must come here. What elevates this place from other burger smash establishments is the unique flavour combinations, available in single or double burgers; but for the sake of your fomo, always order double! My greediest pleasure is the side of slaw with blue cheese and jalapeños -which is just divine! You'll pay a good £15 per sandwich, but you won't regret it! Everything here is made from fresh and cooked with love. You could grab a happy meal, but only one of these burgers will make you truly happy!
Wow what can I say what an amazing lovely place
I accidentally ordered two gluten free burgers 🍔 my daughter wasn’t happy
I rang burger theory and spoke to a lovely lady called elly and asked she could change one to normal. Sadly the order was already done when I called and there was no payment facility to buy a separate burger bun. The order arrived and bless elly she had an extra bun added
The gluten free burger was bloody amazing anyways and chips where amazing
What a lovely place 10/10
Burger focused and great tasting. Interesting specials board. Calming cf other burger options. Do it.
