This place has a modest interior, but the food and service are fantastic! We had the Pad Thai and Green Curry, the flavours were excellent! This is a BYO place, so we took a couple of bottles of wine with us, there is a charge of £2.50 per person for this. The server was very helpful and gave us a couple of pointers with the menu, and even though we were the only people there at the end of the night we weren't rushed at all.

Authentic Thai food restaurant recommended by my Thai friend. Tasty with fair pricing. Best to book in advance. The waitress wasn’t trained well but very friendly.

Very good value for money. Very authentic Thai restaurant, with fairly good vegetarian food options. The staff were quite stressed with all tables occupied, but they tried their best to serve with a smile. The meals were hot & great to taste. Very filling too, will try to visit again in future...

Went for noodles buffet on Sunday (occur only Sunday) it absolutely blew my mind like it was sooooooo good and worth for £15 there were many types of noodles you can choose and 2 soups ( clear and brown) and the meat like so soft. I’ll definitely be there again and I’ll try to visit every 2 weeks 🤤 cuz if i say it’s good then.. you better try!!!

Absolutely lovely authentic Thai food. We had the pork salad, chicken pad Thai and lamb curry, all absolutely great. Will come back for sure. The mango sticky rice was beautiful too. It’s BYO as well. Only downside is that they only accept cash payments.

Some of the best Thai food I have had. Shared BBQ Pork Belly with 3 dipping sauces, and the Spicy Thai Pork Salad (Laab), and reccommend both. Nice and cheap with BYOB, will be coming back to work through the menu!

An absolute gem! The owner is super lovely and the interior has a calm and inviting environment. The food is fabulous with authentic flavour - feels very much like home cooked food prepared by a mother. I would definitely return!

This evening dined at Jean’s Bistro and enjoyed a delightful Thai feast. I started with the Tom Yum Seafood Soup, which was a symphony of flavors with its tangy and spicy broth. The generous amount of seafood in the soup made it a satisfying appetizer. For the main course, I had the Thai BBQ Belly Pork. The dish was a masterpiece of tender, succulent pork with a sweet and smoky glaze. The balance of flavors and the perfect char on the pork made it a highlight of the meal. I also tried the Thai Seafood Salad, which was a refreshing combination of fresh seafood and vibrant herbs. The zesty dressing brought all the ingredients together, creating a burst of flavors in every bite. Overall, the experience at Jean’s Bistro was a culinary journey through authentic Thai cuisine. The attentive service and the inviting ambiance added to the pleasure of the meal. I would highly recommend trying these dishes if you visit this restaurant. I hope this review helps you share your experience with others!

The best taste of Thai food in Bristol. Food was amazing and the staff was very friendly. All dishes came out one by one and was sizzling hot. The taste is just like being back in Thailand. The pork neck and papaya salad was on point full of flavours. All the dishes were delicious but those were my favourite. I would recommend order extra dishes in case as the kitchen gets very busy and orders will take longer. Which the staff kindly told us that it will be a long wait if we ordered more food. Would highly recommend. Our favourite place in Bristol

This place is unreal. The food was amazing. I ordered the beef massaman curry for my main and it was so so good. The calamari I got for a starter was decent too. It’s BYOB too which is massive plus. The staff were nice and it was a nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this place

The food is extremely good and the tomyam is the most authentic I have in uk. The food is made by Thai people so it is super local thai taste. The restaurant owner is so kind and lovely, i will definitely paid a second visit!

Space was limited, so booking is recommended. The staff were very friendly, giving food recommendations that fit dietary needs. Food was great, especially the fried fish and soup.

June 2023 update. Haven't been to Jeans for a while. It was lovely to go back. I'd almost forgotten how good the food is. Had the lamb curry, one of my favourites. It was possibly better than ever. Same friendly service, great atmosphere and lovely food. Still my favourite place to eat out in Bristol. Still no alcohol licence, which is fine with me as it means I can bring in a jug of beer from the Drapers Arms, which is next door but one.

One of those places that looks ok but when you're there ticks every box. Authentic, well planned menu offering plenty of choice at excellent prices. The decor and ambience is fairly simple but service, quality of food and enjoyment were fabulous. Just don't forget there's no alcohol licence so bring your own which at £2.50 corkage is very reasonable. Go there!

Food that gives you a hug!!! The food here is amazing. It tastes home cooked in nice warming sauces. Been coming here lots whilst working away down Bristol and honestly for a dinner that makes you feel nice full and warm inside there isn't any better around Bristol. The fact Jean comes through with fresh veg from her grocery next door and you can see her and her team chopping and adding the veg to different pots and pans gives you the real sense they care about the food their serving. There is a £2.50 corkage feel for BYO alcohol but the choice of soft drinks and refreshing iced teas means that normally the beer and wine is left in the bag. For a nice casual evening meal for friends, couples, families or people who fancy something homely after work this place is an absolute must!! Word of advice it is only small and can feel a little cramped however once the food comes out the size of the place disappears into the background as you are too engrossed in the food!

LOVE LOVE LOVE! The food here was SOOOO tasty we will 100% be coming back asap. I had the crispy tofu sweet and sour starter and the panang chicken curry main which were both exceptional. It's BYO and £2.50 corkage per person. Everything was great value and the staff were lovely and friendly. Make sure to book in advance! Although they did have a few seats for walk ins it was full on a Thursday which is always a great sign too

AMAZING THAI FOOD! I had chicken noodle soup, crispy sweet and sour beef and green tea altogether for £17.40. Definitely a good place to go to pamper yourself with great food in a very pleasant atmosphere. They have cakes as well 😉

The best thai restaurant in Bristol, in my humble opinion. Great food, great prices, great service. The place itself is modest and unassuming.
