Definitely, our favorite restaurant in Bristol so far. For people who don't like mainstream places, this is the place. It's a little bit expensive (we paid £46 each for 3 small dishes, dessert and a glass of wine each), but you get what pay, it's a nice treat for once in a while. The quality of the
Cute unpretentious local restaurant. Friendly and attentive service. Perfectly cooked pork belly (which it is not always obvious) and artichoke dish stood out!
What a fantastic hidden gem of a restaurant! Delicious food and amazing helpful staff. An absolute must!
Quality of the food and well presented. Every dishes amazingly testy.
Opened under new ownership a few weeks before we went. Very impressed!
Fantastic English-style tapas dishes. Best dessert we've ever had (white chocolate mousse)! Great service and atmosphere. Looking forward to going again soon.
Fantastic service and delicious food. Hope whomever buys the place when the current owners sell manage to maintain the same standard. We had six dishes between two of us and had room for desert. You can genuinely taste the quality of the ingredients and the care that went into preparing them. Our se
Lovely food great flavour combinations. Wine was delicious
A small intimate restaurant, just a short stroll from vibrant North Street serving sharing dishes of exceptional quality. The new owner and staff are very enthusiastic and friendly and aim to maintain the previous high standards. As for the food, if you're looking for large portions this place will
Best meal I have had in ages. The daily changing meant was fantastic. The waitress with the curly hair made us feel completely comfortable. Great atmosphere, lovely wine and beer. Can’t rate this place highly enough.
Reopened in August 2018 under new ownership. We went last night to celebrate our wedding anniversary and were very impressed. They've retained the ethos of a small neighbourhood restaurant, focusing on local, seasonal ingredients while freshening up the menu to serve a fantastic array of small plate
This is British cuisine at its best; interesting concoctions and superb flavours. The menu lends itself to mixing and matching - British tapas so to speak! The restaurant is small, so it’s very intimate; the staff are lovely and welcoming. A great place - I highly recommend it!
We went here for a last-minute evening out and we all agreed that it was absolutely outstanding. It is unpretentious and everything is so well thought through - the cooking was perfect, flavours amazing (try the celeriac and truffle soup!!), gorgeous wine, lovely friendly staff. Everything about the
Lovely restaurant, every dish was spot on and the wine was lovely. Could have benefited from a couple more options on the menu, ones you can maybe just pick at with a fork or your fingers as the concept is English tapas. But on the whole a great experience and will happily go back.
This restaurant serves the best food; all fresh, beautifully presented, and the tastiest. They grow their own fruit and vegetables and match them with the best of local produce.
The ambiance is friendly and no-one should feel out of place, unless you rocked up dripping in mink and diamonds. Even the
I'll def come back again. Those dishes were very delicious and dedicated. Chef made a really good suggestion for the wine and it went perfectly well w my main dish. Plus, service was great! Love it :)
An outstanding plate to eat, featuring a wonderfully creative and varied menu, friendly staff (who're fully involved in the cooking given the restaurant's size) and a great atmosphere. Entirely deserving of one of the most positive restaurant reviews I've ever read in the Guardian. Would only wish t
Small, intimate restaurant with great food and staff. Went for Sunday lunch, the starter was yummy but over priced, the beef was perfect but let down slightly by the roast potatoes which were too hard for my liking. Normally this wouldn’t matter but at £40 per head all in with wine they really need
Lovely neighbourhood restaurant, excellent sharing plates with good quality locally sourced food. Enjoyed the pork belly, Arancini and salmon tartare and great selection of wines. Friendly and welcoming service in a relaxed setting. Highly recommended and we will certainly be coming back
Booked in for an early Saturday lunch with the family, shared 4 small plates between us, dessert and cider each followed by coffee. Absolutely delicious, wish I could lunch there more regularly. The staff were great and really friendly too.
