Excellent meal. Really good. But like others have said, the service needs to get better and the toilets being a walk away outside is an issue in the rain.
However, easy fixes and I expect a Michelin star at some point soon….
We absolutely loved the delicious tasting menu. A very well thought through & varied selection of perfectly prepared dishes, all presented in a picture perfect way and for a very reasonable price. Service was attentive and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Tare to anyone looking for a memorable meal in Bristol. Can't wait to go back.
We recently visited Bristol for the weekend, and I booked this place for my husband's birthday. It is a truly special place - we had one of the best dinner experiences here ! The quality of the food and the exquisite flavours exceeded our expectations. The tasting menu was incredible, and I loved every dish.
The staff provided exceptional service, making it the most attentive dining experience I've ever had. The wine flight they offered was also absolutely delicious. We will be back on our next trip to Bristol. I think this restaurant is definitely on its way to a Michelin Star🌟
Tare exceeded all expectations with a fantastic tasting menu for the evening. Everything was packed with flavor and plated beautifully. The atmosphere of the cargo containers make this place feel more casual and comfortable but still has high standards for quality of food without being stuffy.
Easily our favourite restaurant in Bristol. Standard of food is always so high and the wine pairings have introduced us to so many excellent new wineries. Super warm service, we will be back!
Absolutely delicious tasting menu, with interesting and novel wine pairings. The service was speedy but attentive - a wonderful way to celebrate our first wedding anniversary! Big thanks to all the team.
Stellar food, wine and service! This is really a 6/5. They deserve their mention in the Guide Michelin and we think it won’t be long before they land their Bib Gourmand. Almost all the courses were exceptional and the service was extremely attentive as well. Next time we are in Bristol, we will be back. If we had to point out one area of improvement it would be that the toilets are quite far away outside the restaurants premises.
I had a delightful experience dining at Tare…
The space is relatively small but very aesthetic and intimate. Dinner does not start until the last guest/party arrives and dishes are served at the same time and at an even pace. While booking, you’re given an option to start with a glass of champagne upon arrival (which I did) and it was phenomenal.
The tasting menu was 7 courses and an exceptional value for £62. The standout dish was the Old Winchester tart with quince and thyme, which was equally sweet and savory with just the right amount of crunch. Many of the dishes seemed to contain a sizable amount of milk/dairy, which I felt was a bit unnecessary and could’ve been substituted to achieve a better flavor profile.
The service was outstanding and the server made some impressive drink recommendations I was very fond of.
Overall, I had a very nice time dining at Tare and I recommend it as one of the standout restaurants in Wapping Wharf.
A brilliant restaurant upstairs in Wapping Wharf. A set fish/meat menu and a set vege menu. The two menus share several dishes. Everything is delicious. The waiting staff are friendly and knowledgeable. There is an interesting wine list or you can choose to take the wine flight to accompany your menu. Relatively small with about twenty covers.
A brilliant place to go for a special meal.
We recently had a meal at Tare Bistro and it was one of the best meals we've had in a while. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was just to our taste. Sitting at the counter and watching the chefs work their magic was also another extra treat. We also ate at the main restaurant earlier in the year which was also a knockout. Highly recommend both restaurants to anyone looking for a good spot in Bristol.
