A lovely village pub with a modern look. The food is exceptional for the price but they can be a little slow bringing food to the table but it gives you time to talk to your friends. You will not be disappointed with the food, drink, friendly staff and pub decor and atmosphere. Small car park which can be a little congested at times as there are lots of waste materials to be thrown away.
Had a lovely evening at The Lion with a friend. Very nice modern pub, beautifully decorated. Welcoming staff. Great food. Would recommend. Kitchen was closed at Oliver’s (sister restaurant) due to refurbishment. We hadn’t made any bookings and we were transported to The Lion. Much appreciated. Thanks again for great customer service.
After I made a massive booking error at their sister restaurant, Kane arranged to have my party of 10 transported to The Lion so that we could celebrate my father’s 70th Birthday Celebration. Exceptional customer service. The food was fantastic, nothing was a problem and all the staff were brilliant. Highly recommend.

The Pork Belly Bites & Bao Buns were really really good.
The rest of the table also enjoyed their meals - Homemade Chicken Kiev & Hunters Chicken along with a Cheesy Garlic Bread/Focaccia & desserts.

We moved to Brinsley in June and love the walks and people.We decided to try here for Sunday lunch. All six of us were extremely happy with the service and food we will be back for sure it was a brilliant experience.
Had a two steak deal at the cost of £35.
The steaks were simply superb! 👌 so much more than you would expect for this price.

Really nice friendly pub / restaurant 21 of us had a meal here and the service was great from the team all the meals came out within 5 minutes of each other and all was hot and enjoyable.
Nice decor and atmosphere would definitely recommend and return...prices are reasonable for the food and drinks...staff very pleasant and friendly.
Lovely location and service was excellent. Slightly disappointed with the pork belly sunday dinner, all fat. No meat but beef dish and all other items cooked well. Didn't understand the giant bowl, would much prefer a sunday roast on a plate but its different. Will visit again, as other dishes o would like to try

Wasn't busy which is always a worry . Good job it wasn't really as the only down side was the wait , from entry to getting food was approximately 50mins . The food however was very good the steak was as good as anywhere we'd been before and at 14.99 wasn't to highly priced . Would av prepared proper chips or julienne fries and if there's a prob with its probably wasn't enough , wife ate all of hers which she rarely does so that alone tells me sides next time ( there will be a next time) should have had a starter but choices were limited, all in all good tasty food nice venue , limited starters and little bit too long a wait..
Visited a second time service had improved and the steak was as good as the first ...u will be hard pushed to taste better meat
Unfortunate that on our visit there had been an accident with a member of kitchen staff( sincerely hope that they are ok).
This put the service back and delays of 1hour for food, understandable that staff were concerned about their colleague, some diners not informed of the situation and they became frustrated with the staff.
The quality of food was very good, the beef was thick and we should have asked for steak knife in hindsight.
It seemed a little tight for space in the dining area, but we managed, also this shows how popular it is.
We intend to visit again soon and hopefully we can increase our score, as this time we hope that all the staff are accident free.
A great venue, busy so book in advance to avoid disappointment.
Superb!!! I'd recommend the cod and fish cakes, 10/10, lovely place to unwind too!!
We were a table of 6, we had mains and deserts, everyone loved their choices, from pies to pasta and steaks. The house wine could be better as could the coffee. We had a good night with great food.
