Staff was so lovely and Alex the dog made the experience 10x better. I haven't had many pancakes in Brighton but I can tell you that these were the best I've ever had anywhere. Everything went perfectly together and the pop of colour in the pancakes made this so much better. We went after seeing a photo of their blue pancakes but on the day we went we got pink pancakes (perhaps they ran out of blue colouring) but we didn't mind this at all 🙌 They also do Turkish tapas which the table next to us got and that looked very appetising too. The cafe is small but feels really homely and is very unique and quirky. A hidden gem (or not so hidden) gem in Brighton!

It's a small, quirky place, ideal spot for a quick drink or snack. The waffles were good but found that the pancakes were a bit dry.

Needed a little away time from a stag do, and found this little gem of a place to eat my breakfast. The staff were super friendly, and meal I had was delicious! I highly recommend the detox smoothie aswell 👍

What a hidden Gem, The food and drinks were amazing. Been here on Sunday for brunch as i have heard a lot about their pancakes and decided to just try our chance to see if we could find a space. The moment we arrived they were so busy but they still tried their best to accommodate us. Luckily we get to experience and try their breakfast. I tried their big breakfast with salmon and my friend had the vegan one. We loved the fact that it was gluten free. What can i say! I have not tried pancakes put together this well with pack full of flavour. Also top notch service carried on until we leave. All staff and the owner Ash was incredibly friendly. It was the highlight of our Brighton trip. Definitely will be back!

If you only come here to be in the presence of the lovely dog you’ll have a great time. The coffee was also lush, comfortable seating and a really relaxed vibe. Lots of veggie options on the menu

The vibe was really relaxed with great music & seating. The ‘I want to stay healthy’ bowl was super tasty & nutritious. Turkish coffee was really great too, & got total food envy from the pancakes so will 100% have to go back! The staff were really friendly. Great spot to people watch from too.

It’s cosy, so if you pop in here on a weekend for brunch expect it to be busy, and tbh the cosines adds to the comfortable vibe. We didn’t go for the Turkish tapas, so I can’t comment on that, but the neon cafe menu is still pretty Turkish influenced which is nice. The Turkish coffee was delicious (don’t stir it, you want the grounds in it to settle to the bottom, and definitely don’t try to empty the cup or you’ll get a mouth full of grit!) The shakshuka was nice, but the standout was the pink pancakes! Paired with bacon and a poached egg they were absolutely delicious. I’ll be back to have these again for sure! Four of us were sat on a combination of a sofa and two foot stools, which while not ideal for eating was still doable, and we had a nice coffee table in front of us.

the best cafe i’ve been to in a long time, maybe ever! the pancakes are lovely, plenty of vegan and veggie options and the cafe has the most beautiful dog which keeps guests company. alex the dog is basically more value for money than a dog cafe! 💛 highly recommend to anyone in brighton who likes an indie/jazz/house vibe, an lgbt inclusive atmosphere and dogs!!

A true gem in the lanes of Brighton. Munchies is a quirky little independent cafe serving top-notch coffee, brunch and vegan-friendly Turkish tapas surrounded by unique decor and pieces by local artists. At night and weekends it transforms into a cool bar with custom neon lights, signature cocktails and regular DJ sets playing electronic and world music. It even has a secret dungeon/basement party room available for private hire! 100% recommend this place. Dog friendly too.

It was lunch time, we were hungry, we wanted to eat somewhere a bit special and we found it here. It might have been just a sandwich and a drink to some but to us it was an experience and a memory of our weekend in Hove/Brighton. The fact that the sandwiches and the service were spot on was a bonus. As for the resident dog Alex, I dare you not to fall for those eyes.....

The waffles were delectable, amazing 10/10 presentation, the flavours were outstanding and we loved the iced matcha lattes. The service was good, and the waiters all friendly, however we did wait a while for them to bring the bill, and they’d seemed to forgotten.

A lovely quirky find in Brighton for a delicious coffee and some nachos. We didn’t see the rest of the space but the ground floor is small but interesting. Good service as well

What an amazing place! Two lovely, stunning sisters and one very cute dog await your arrival. From the moment my friends and I entered, we felt welcome and well looked after. The coffee was superb!! The breakfast was filling and delicious ! Then the decor, modern and cheerful. The toilets were exceptionally clean which was highly appreciated. Thanks for a wonderful breakfast experience in Brighton ladies and hope to see you see again. If you haven’t gathered by now, I’ll will definitely return 👍😄
