We stopped at Brass Monkey Ice Cream for some coffee and cake one rainy Saturday afternoon. It’s in a lovely location, and is very cool inside.
As it was quite chilly outside we didn’t end up having ice cream, but instead opted for coffees and a slice of their amazing cake.
Service was very efficient and friendly, and the prices were very reasonable too.
Excellent Ice Cream Parlor/Café. Being tucked away in a quiet corner makes it a nice place to sit, indoor or out. The ice cream flavors are unorthodox and exiting, while the coffee is excellent in presentation and taste. The staff was really nice. If I'm ever in Brighton again, I am definitely coming back.
Such a fun cafe! I was planning on choosing an ice cream because I’ve heard great things however the unique cake choices captivated me. I ended up ordering a pumpkin, carrot and caramel cake 😋
My friend had the chocolate sorbet on a chocolate and cookie dough brownie and he said it was insane! However the matcha flavour wasn’t the most flavourful he has had.
Overall I loved it and will be coming back. Also it wasn’t until I left that I found out the ice cream was vegan! Honestly could not tell, I would be absolutely shocked if the cakes were as well!!
Tried the tea&biscuit ice cream and chocolate sorbet. The tea flavour was strong and creamy and the the chocolate was decadent and the perfect texture of ice cream. Looked very authentic and nice and clean. Friendly boy at the till, definitely recommend!
Never had Brass Monkey Ice cream before. What have I been doing with my life......tea and biscuits a revelation. Hokey Dokey was also a joy.

Now on to the important stuff the cakes looked phenomenal, the iced coffee was strong and delicious and they had some of the most interesting flavours of ice cream I've seen -tonka bean is a big yes and was the Pedro Ximinez (yes, like the sherry!)
The most amazing organic ice cream in the most amazing real flavours. Chocolate Sorbet, Tea and biscuits, cardamom, lemon curd, plus more than i can remember. Ive had a few visits now and It's delicious everything.
This is a nice restaurant with good coffee and tea. They have a marvelous selection of cakes and ice cream. They are pretty fresh.
The only thing is they do not have syrups for coffee.
Worth the visit for a nice slice of cake!

The cake is pretty heavy but the taste is rich and nice. I loved the ice cream. It isn’t expensive either so definitely coming back for more.🍨🍰
Great spot for craft ice-cream. We got Lime Sorbet and Adam’s tea n biscuit, so goooood.
