When I first walked in, the place was empty and I started to think oh no, what have I booked.. the staff were extremely friendly, although there is only Jess currently working at the moment, I feel she did an excellent job (the only advice I’d give Jess is not to ask people if they want the bill, that’s usually the customers job!) the owner takes the time to come out and check that everything is ok and if we have enjoyed our food. The food was so flavoursome, although the next day can leave you feeling extremely thirsty. Other than that I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and would definitely visit again.

This is one of my most favourite venues in Brighton. As a non chain, custom decorated one of a kind place this restaurant brings something new, fresh and unique to Brighton Marina. Restaurant owned by a genuine Greek family, always beautifully tidy with very friendly attentive staff. Live Greek music events give this plave a very sweet cosy almost family like atmosphere. The food is served after a very reasonable time and its just delicious. I'm a terribly fussy person and I must say I just love their food. On quieter moments the cheff personally attends guests to hear their feedback about the food. Portions are huge and the food is delicious. I recommend this place to anyone looking either for a quick decent quality lunch or for a full family dinner in a great friendly atmosphere (having given the covid restrictions Skara is in a really good position as the venue is very spacious and tables are well away from each other so it feels safe) if you would like to extend your stay for a nice cocktail or a glass of something stronger, the Emerald bar below will have everything you want! Aha, they offer Greek coffee, interesting alternative for any coffee loving person like myself 😃. I can't really recommend this place enough and my friends love it too!

Great food and staff attentive. While the food was delayed, the staff were charming and we weren't in a hurry so it didn't matter too much. And, we had free drinks for the delay. Would definitely recommend and happy to return.

I didn't get many photos (the picture I did add was of the Pork Gyro, there are chips under the meat) as I was too busy devouring the food. This place is lovely. Its Nice big space. The food is amazing and flavourful, the staff are so friendly and attentive & accommodating of children. Various members of staff kept coming to our table/ passing by entertaining our 6 year old (taps on the shoulder, checking if they were eating all their food, fist bumps etc). The chef even came around the tables asking if everything was good. As a table of 4 we ordered a lot...we were starving. We ordered the tzatziki and bread to start, we ordered a second part way through eating this as it was soooo good. The Tzatziki was thick and all around amazing, one of the best I've tasted. We also ordered halloumi starters & Greek beef sausage to start too. All really tasty. For mains we ordered pork gyros, politiki salads (almost like a coleslaw, with what I think we're capers, without mayo, lovely and fresh) , the burger for the youngest which is beef patties served in foil (no bun) They were small but dense and flavoured very well, our 6 year old looked at them thinking he'd want more but struggled to finish, they came with chips too. We also ordered the Kontosouvli (marinated pork) which was delicious & finally we also ordered skewers of chicken wrapped in bacon which were so soft and juicy. I can't recommend this restaurant enough and I also can't wait to go back.

Feels like a little bit of Greece. Meats are very good quality, everything was great, atmosphere is magical, music loud but that's how it would be in Greece. Lots of fun to be there!

After reading some really bad reviews from this place, me and my friends decided to go here anyway because we wanted to eat some authentic Greek food. We arrived here on a Sunday around 1pm, the place was pretty much empty which didn't fill us with confidence. The place looked alright and had some nice views over the Marina. We ordered our food and got our starters pretty quick, they tasted absolutely amazing! We all tried each others starters and we all thought the food was great. We were served very promptly and never had to wait long at all. We got our mains and again, the food was delicious, we had no complaints. It was a shame we could not add a tip via the card machine, but luckily we had some cash on us to leave for the waiters/waitress as they were very polite and always had a smile. All in all a great experience and I will be coming back again and bring my family.

What a brilliant evening! Excellent high standard food but with an extra home-made homely feel, wonderful service with that proper European approach to care and service; attentiveness, genuine interest and humour. We ate and drank our fill and couldn’t believe the price - a comparable mix of starters, mains, dessert and drinks would probably have cost us about 60-75% more in our local village pub! Couldn’t be more delighted :-)

This hidden gem served some of the best Greek food we’ve ever had. We’ve travelled many times to Greece over the last two decades and this restaurant catches every element of Greek cuisine perfectly. The lamb was stunning. Fairly priced and large portions, what’s not to love?! I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone! Shout out to our waiter Grace for doing a great job! We shall be returning soon!!!

I have to say I wasn't expecting much, it's an odd building in the chain restaurant heavy marina development. But this is a real case of not judging the book... Friendly efficient service. A small but good menu selection. And the important bit - the food. Wow, I wasn't expecting that. Beautifully prepared dishes, full of flavour, in decent portions. Care had been taken with our 2 cheese based starters to get plenty of flavour in with great fresh herbs. The prawn main was in a vibrant, fresh tomato sauce, and the fries were the most authentic Greek style chips I've had outside the Mediterranean. The roast lamb had clearly been slow cooked over many hours with a generous accompaniment of herbs. Pulled apart with a fork, still wonderfully juicy, tasted amazing. Again probably the best I've had outside Greece. Definitely visit again if I'm down this way. Highly recommended.

Had a lovely lunch here, the only complaint (?) being that there was so much meat that we had to ask for a doggy bag. The waiter, Declan, was an absolutely charming young man, someone who obviously loves his job. The merlot was divine, as were the White Russians. Not sure why we are feeling so relaxed, we're putting it down to the weather!! No complaints at all - compliments to the chef.
