Are here with my daughter. The atmosphere is fab, with awesome artwork and statues etc. The Service we couldn't of asked for more. Friendly and helpful! You are only limited to 1 hour at your table which I was unaware of, so it either doesn't mention it when booking online or I missed it which means it needs to be highlighted somehow. There was only 8 other people in the cafe with us but our food took 30 minutes to arrive! The food is pricey but They do go all out with the appearance of the food!! It comes out looking amazing!! But the menu choices are quite poor. I get that with a time limit of 1hr they can't offer massive meals but they only had 4 savory options and ALL of them were vegetarian!! And they are the most random options like a vegetarian burger or avocado on toast?! It was brilliant for the experience but sadly we won't be returning.... The hello kitty shop downstairs however!! Just wow! Quite pricey!! But they are also imported items that you would struggle to find elsewhere!! Just brilliant!

Love the aesthetic of this cafe and that it switches up the theme every few months. I visited a few months ago (Hello Kitty theme - can't wait to see what will be next!). Make sure to book in advance as getting seats on the day is close to impossible. I would recommend their sweet meals more than the savoury ones. The ground floor has a shop which has lots of cute items you can buy and a little cafe but the food is served on the first floor. Although no lifts are available, they're able to cater to people who can't use the stairs by setting up a table on the ground floor.

Amazing experience! Booked in advance as its pretty popular. The theming and atmosphere were incredible and the food was super cute and tasty. The waffles were to die for. Staff were incredibly friendly. 10/10 The little shop downstairs has a huge selection of over a dozen ice cream flavours and I bought a great pin as a souvenir!

Atmosphere - 10 Service - 10 Food - 1 I love this place it’s super cute but it’s obvious that you visit this cafe for the aesthetic only. The food wasn’t nice. The drinks are very sugary. The dessert was so bad.. it seemed like a frozen pancake reheated. But the staff are lovely and the shop has authentic merch 🥰 would visit again but maybe just to get a hot drink. Also gluten free options!

Location is great; right next to the coach station so it’s usually the first place I have to go to. Staff are always super friendly and helpful. I’ve booked a table at the cafe once and gotten ice cream / coffee for takeout multiple times. All of the food tastes and looks great, it is expensive but you are paying for the experience and I would happily pay for the experience again. Hoping the Sanrio theme sticks around so I have a chance to have a sit down meal there again.

Amazing attention to character detail with the food and aesthetically pleasing venue for my Sanrio kuromi obsessed 6 year old daughter. Be sure to book if you want a table, we went in summer holidays so very busy, deposit to secure a table is refunded on food bill. A must for any Sanrio fan.Dessert, Cafe, Vegetarian Friendly, Vegan Options...and more.

We came from Birmingham after seeing the cafè all over social media and it was an amazing experience! We were served by Carla and Lottie who were both super lovely and attentive. They were welcoming and made the whole experience even better with their enthusiasm. The staff in the shop were very friendly too! Food and drinks were super cute and had lots of attention to detail. 10/10 would definitely recommend making a booking if you’re coming to Brighton 🫶🏻

Helly Kitty Ice Cream Sooooo Yummy & Beautiful! Booking a table in advance is the best thing to do because this place is in High Demand and now we know why!! Excellent location round the corner from Brighton Beach front and very intimate private dining area upstairs. Very clean and tidy with lots of pink and bright colours to keep everyone happy from young, old and a special experience for every Hello Kitty Fan! She has all her friends with her too adding a touch of vintage nostalgia. Considering how old she my gurl is looking pretty goody goody!! We ordered hot and cold food from the menu, a good choice & selection with pictures... In reality the portions were MASSIVE!!! I had such a brilliant time and look fwd to coming back again! And yes the kids enjoyed the dining experience also! ((Customer service was also 10/10))

The staff were wonderful. I'm a wheelchair user and so they set me up a table downstairs so I could enjoy the cafe. I brought my puppy with me and all the staff were delighted to see him and gave him lots of fuss and his own little pusheem pup cup. It was a great experience and I was so pleasantly surprised by how warm and welcoming the team were. Thank you so much ❤️

Luckily we came when it wasn't that busy. Staff are nice and welcoming. Has a range of different sanrio/hello kitty things to buy.. like stationary, bags, teddies and so on. All reasonably priced, cheaper than I've seen elsewhere. And they also have ice cream, also reasonably priced. We didn't go upstairs to see the café, only the bottom floor shop

Had brunch here recently. I expected the food to be just cute but it turned out to be delicious too! Highly recommend My Melody waffle, it's a big portion and also comes with macarons and sorbet, plus heart shaped sprinkles and edible flowers! Every staff member was super lovely and helpful, thank you!

It's an amazing atmosphere, super cute decorations. The food was delicious and I like your chocolate sauce, it's not so sweet.( I think you may make it from dark chocolate , that makes your desserts super delicious ) Staff are very cute, friendly and supportive. Hope I will come back soon.

A lovely cafe, near the centre of Brighton, basically a road away from the beach! I expected to pay a lot more for the experience, but found the food/drink to be reasonably priced. I had an ice cream sundae, which was £8.50, and a delicious mocktail (the pineapple and peach one-which is DELICIOUS by the way!) Which was around £5. You get an hour at the cafe, and I don't think £13.50 for an hour at a cafe is crazy. I was also wary that the food might have looked cute but tasted mediocre, but boy was I wrong! The food tastes absolutely amazing! Mine had candy floss, blueberry and bubblegum flavoured ice cream, as well as candy floss, a chocolate lolly, and various sweeties. As you can see in the photos, it looked ridiculously adorable! My only potential 'issue' would be that there's not much to look at or do decor-wise. But it didn't take away from the fact we had a great experience! A must-do if travelling to Brighton! We booked a table in advance just to be on the safe side.

Visited today while we were in Brighton for a couple of days. Glad we booked as it seemed busy. The decor is lovely, the staff were all very friendly and efficient. The food was great, very reasonably priced and presented as works of art that were almost too good to eat! We also enjoyed non alcoholic cocktails Everything was delicious! Cute gift shop too

Totally Worth it!! We travelled to Brighton second time in two weekends for this! My family loves it very much. The experience, decoration, staff and food was excellent. Basically the shop on the ground floor with ice cream variety. Plenty of folks buying small gifts and admiring the decorations and ambient. The gifts are not cheap Chinese knock off. They are actually from Japan because we have been to Hello Kitty in Tokyo and Osaka and they are authentic and well priced. For the restaurant you need to get there before 11am and expect a Que. when you get in you need to book for next available table for the same day. The staff are really friendly and try their best to fit you in. Don’t be offended if you don’t get a seat because it is very popular. We got our seats at 14:15 and only hour session. All the food are vegetarian/vegan/gluten free. The food is good! So cute, chic and well decorated. Honestly, for the pricing, it’s not expensive. Back in Japan, theme restaurant like Pokémon, Gundam, Mario, hello kitty cafe cost way more. The food was delivered to the table fast, hot and very tasty. I was surprised because I was not expecting much for it being outside Japan. I know folks complain about how expensive it was, actually for theme restaurant it’s very affordable. It’s the experience more than cheap cheerful (not Macdonald) Only critic - the curry is not Japanese curry. Maybe something to upgrade on the recipe My kids were happy. We had hundreds of photos taken and took away a wonderful bank holiday in Brighton. Even my son enjoyed the experience despite me teasing him half the time. Well done Artbox cafe Brighton. You made our weekend complete!! Keep up the good good work!! Ps: folks complain about the auto tips. I think it’s worth the cost because the staff is super nice and they deserve it. They came in dressed, theme makeup, work hard and put on their best smile. 😊

Came here on the 10th sept for lunch - didnt prebook so crossed our fingers and went in anyway and managed to book a table with about a 50 min wait, so we walked around until it was time. We came back and it did take a while for the staff downstairs to get to us but I understood that the shop and cafe was quite busy. We were seated at a window/stool table upstairs, and the cafe played cute music at a good volume - not too loud nor quiet. We had a lovely waitress, Jihyun, who took our order and was very complimentary, attentive and kind. We ordered the Ice Cream Sundae and the Matcha Latte & Strawberry Popping Bubble Tea. The sundae was very delicious & sweet, and you get a lot for it with a chocolate treat, hello kitty cookie, chocolate cookie sticks, edible wafer and syrup in the bottom of the glass. The bubble tea didn't really taste much like strawberry, but I still enjoyed it & really liked the popping bubbles too. I also got a sanrio tote bag from the merch shop downstairs. Overall really cute and fun experience. Thank you!

We went this weekend (BT21 theme) and I loved it! We originally booked for 3 pm, but because of traffic on the way from London as well as in Brighton and extreme difficulty in finding parking, we were late. The staff was really accommodating and suggested we rebook for another slot later in the day so we could have the full experience. I was very happy we decided to do that. Really cute decor and really cute and tasty food in the cafe on the first floor. The shop on the ground floor is small but stocks interesting merch! I would definitely go back.
