The Market Inn Pub - Brighton - Photo album

We were playing a dart match at the Market Inn ( us being the away team) . Seemed a bit strange walking into the pub that I once lived in, The Former Golden Fleece ( 1969 / 1990) my Dad died there in 1989 , I became joint licensee with my Mum until 1990. So you can understand my feelings in the pub
The best nachos I’ve had while in UK. The fish and chips wasn’t great, the batter was wet and fish didn’t taste of much. Fried mushrooms were ok but lacked seasonings.
Had a great time staying here, room was spacious and a lovely breakfast in the morning. Staff were really helpful and great service. Would definitely stay here again!
Stayed here two night with my partner and we loved it. The food is excellent and the people are lovely, highly recommended.

I meet a relative of mine who lives in Brighton and we always go to this pub for lunch. Never fails to cook and serve a good roast dinner with apple crumble for pud.
So unfortunately i didn't get to stay here as I messed up my booking and done it for next year but the manager was so helpful and rang round to help me find a place to stay so I wasn't stuck. The hospitality he gave me was spectacular and I couldn't thank him enough for the time and effort he gave m
The bar in the middle doesn't leave much space for tables, but all in all nice pub. Good music.
Stopped here for dinner on a Thursday evening. We both ordered the Beef, Mushroom & Ale stew plus chips, the dish came with baguettes and was a huge portion and very tasty. Not too expensive either. The rest of the menu looked good too.
I regularly come here with ex work colleagues. Always get great service and the food is great too.

Out for an early evening walk in search of somewhere to eat and came across this traditional pub. Decided to give the food a try and wasn’t disappointed. Good pub food at a reasonable price. Staff were friendly and attentive and 70s/80s music in the background made the evening.
Nice manager and professional team. We went with a group of 10 for dinner. The chef stayed extra longer and the overall service was very good. it was a nice evening! we can highly recommend the cozy pub.
Lovely room, although the shower was pretty weak and the noise from the street could be a problem for light sleepers. Bed was very comfortable, but it did creak with movement. Breakfast was generous and tasty and served to room at a time of tour choice. Bar was OK, although my Guinness didn't taste
We booked a table I'm glad we did it was busy but it was lovely the atmosphere was great the music great... We all ordered the beef lovely..but the yourkshire pudding was cold the carrots were over cooked we was not offered horseradish sauce...but the rest was fantastic.. The rest of there normal m
Nice looking food and drink things to have here with a good few indoor seating areas that can be found, a good small outdoor seating area can be found here as well. Nice portion sizes for both main courses and other things.
Went to meet friends and have lunch. Manager was very accommodating as they were showing a football match. Staff friendly. Food was very nice and reasonably priced.
Good beer and food, great atmosphere. Real old style pub.
Enjoyable one night stay on The Lanes. Lovely breakfast and superb host!
