My partner and I visited this pub for a quick drink before heading into the town centre. We did arrive early in the evening so it was very quiet as In not busy with just a few people inside. The bar lady was very welcoming. There was some Irish music playing so as to add to the ambience of the place
Can't believe I've not been here sooner... from the outside you may not be drawn in but the stories of its greatness are filtering across the city. £3 a pint for some good hand pull ales. A fine selection of hot dogs, beautifully prepared and brimming with taste and all for a super value price. Nic
This is a lovely little pub if you want a few beers in a friendly genuine atmosphere. Eclectic decor, lots of framed photos and prints , old church pews for benches , excellent real ales , at £3 a pint , decent snack food and friendly staff. Worth looking out for especially of the pubs in St James s
