This restaurant continues to be the best Indian in the town as far as I am concerned. Their evening buffet is excellent value, cooked to order and the individual dishes all have distinctive tastes (unlike some restaurants where all taste the same). I really don’t care what others may say about it I find it consistently good on the many times we have been there with a friendly service as well.

We've ordered from Brinjals a number of times because they are consistently good, and they do a paneer version of most curries which my vegetarian husband loves! The food is always super tasty, good portion sizes, and although it always says it's going to take forever to get to you it inevitably arrives really early! Would definitely recommend

Cooked well, spices were used well and heat didn't overpower flavor. Really nice curry! Only problem was that staff seemed to be over-working, service was ok but some drinks were forgotten about, understandable as it was really busy. Felt for the waiters because they were rushing around, could have done with one more waiter to give the other guys support and make the restaurant feel less frantic.

So glad we found this lovely restaurant. It was a Sunday night and not many eat in places were open. Thankfully we found Brinjal's. We chose the buffet meal option and were permitted to bring our own drinks. The meal was tasty and service was good. Waitron was attentive and friendly. Restaurant was clean and toilet facilities pleasant. Lovely evening overall

Choose your meat (or vegetarian) and the a sauce. The list is extensive. There are also chef specials. The food was excellent, the Bhajis being light and not stodgy; rice light and fluffy and enough meat with the sauces (generous enough). On a Thursday night there was a constant flow of people , mainly of student age. At present this restaurant is byo and only takes cash. There is an off license very near. Also can get take away with 10% discount with NUS. I would say there are seats for approx 30 people. My only issue was the large screen showing film throughout the evening. I go out to talk to friends and however much you try to ignore it - it’s there. Can’t all sit with our back to it. I will go back as the food is worth it and BYO is always a bonus

There were all kind of restaurants along Lewes Road. We were looking for a chinese one but finally we entered this restaurant and it seemed a good coice. The food tasted good though the vindaloo was not so spicy as we used to eat. This restaurant offers a lot of vegetarian menus and for us it's great. Good service. The only problem was looking for a parking place at this area.

I love Brinjals! The food is always so delicious, and there is inevitably a 30% discount on the offering so ends up being really reasonable as well. We've had a variety of different curries- all with some form of garlic chicken and paneer and have never been disappointed. Most recent choice was a garlic chicken pasanda and paneer jalfrezi with the obligatory sides of samosa, popadoms and garlic naan and everything was tip top!

This place is lovely! Food is brilliant! Only had one experience of the food not being up to scratch, the food was a bit too oily! But other than that the food is brilliant!

Don't under estimate this place. We've ordered takeaway twice and it's simply the best Indian I've ever had! We tried different curries and they do not disappoint at all! Flavourful, distinctive different flavours for different curries. Go for the fish, don't be shy, it's gorgeous. Generous portions with affordable prices. Definitely caters for authenticity. I hate Indians where the different curries are really not different at all. They just put slightly different meats and veg, sweeter or spicier but the sauce base always taste the same. Also usually too sweet as well. We've bookmarked this place to return to again and again! Super chef!

The best Indian food I ever had, honestly the chef put so much love in every dish that it was just delightful. The customer service is outstanding. The place super clean and nice. The value for money was incredibly good. I highly recommend it.

My partner and I was blown away with the abundance of quality food we recived for such a small price . There homemade sauces were second to none and like nothing we had tasted at any other Indian restaurant in Brighton. I had a chicken dish and my partner a lamb dish and the texture of the meat just melted in your mouth with the full flavour of the sauce .. I could go on and on,but feel you need to visit to experience the delights and the warm welcome and out standing service

Never had a bad curry from Brinjals since started using 2 years ago. They use top quality chicken and ingredients the same as goes into their restaurant food, and not the water churned rubbery tasteless budget stuff that many Indian takeaways choose to use these days

I eat here ALL the time. Never had any problems. The food is amazing and the buffet is a bargain. All they ask is not to order too much food as they would have to charge for wastage. Sometimes they are a bit short staffed and service a bit slow but who cares, what's the rush? We take a few bottles of wine and spend a couple of hours there. Delivery has always been fine apart from once but the problem was fixed with a free replacement. I can't get enough of the place and the staff have always been great with us, even in groups of 8 people.
