Friendly staff, queue mid Saturday afternoon, macchiato lovely but rather on small side, generous and yummy cake though, fab and original decorations.

Brilliantly quirky decor, friendly staff and an interesting variety of food. It also has a great, relaxing back garden and is dog-friendly too! The over-riding thing for me though, is that every time I go in there I notice something that I haven't seen before! Highly recommended :)

Lovely little place, very querky inside. Really friendly and knowledgeable staff too. You can relax here, and also pick up some interesting art work should it tackle your fancy. The coffee is great and the selection of vegan, veggie cake and sandwiches is lush

This place is my new hang on London Road now that the people who run it are nice and friendly and the coffee is much much better.

Held a burlesque cabaret fundraiser night here end of May - the acts and punters alike commented on the lovely vibe. We had a blast, and dropped a lot of confetti! (&we cleaned up!), and I learned what a stage kitten is, meow :) I like coming here for coffee and chilling out anyway, music's always cool, decor fun, and the staff are bloody lovely, but it's perfect as an evening venue too. And cheers Vera, you're awesome!

The atmosphere and ambiance is great. This 'coffee shop' is just what Brighton is all about. There's a lot of space, they know how to make a coffee, you can have toast with as much marmite as you want (yay!), and you can play poker in the bank vault - what's not to like? The staff are friendly and helpful, the decor is very well done indeed - radiator (working) table anyone? Cornucopia of paperbacks made into a bench? Come to this place, drink coffee, use the free wifi - you won't regret stopping in.

Great place! Ecclectic, interesting decor and nice vibe. Coffee was nice and it looked like it did fantastic cake. They didn't have skimmed milk for my latte, which is my only criticism. Music and ambiance was fun.

Visited Presuming Ed's today with friends. Hot choc was lovely, gluten free brownie was totally lush and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. They even made warm milk for our 2 little monkies. Love the quirky decor and would really recommend to anyone Thanks

London Road Calling. If you like a bit of Rock 'n' Roll with your coffee this place is for you. It's shabby chic interior with an eclectic mix of object d'art gives this indie roast house its alternative vibe. If you prefer your chic over your shabby close your eyes and with lips to cup taste the delights of the blend of distraction. Probably the best coffee I've tasted in Brighton.

I am writing this review as I am sat in a Presuming Ed's Coffeehouse with an hour to kill - I couldn't wait til later to write about this wonderful place! As many locals may or may not know, Presuming Ed's is the sister coffeehouse to the ever popular Marwood's, purveyors of kick ass coffee and life changing cake. Situated on London Road, it has opened just as The area is going through a bit of regeneration, with new pubs, bars, the new Open Market and new halls of residence opening over the past year. The decor is true to the Marwood's style, with quirky mismatched furniture and crazy art adoring the walls. Hipster's paradise! Although there is a wide range of people here right now :) I opted for my usual soya flat white and had a slice of blueberry and white chocolate cake. It's not often that cake renders me speechless but WOW. I feel like grabbing the whole cake off the counter and running off! I won't though... I'm far too lazy and not at all subtle. Long story short - you need to try this place!

Lovely atmosphere with a ton of ply points to charge your electronics while you work. Great place to chill and read too. The long black was just ok but the plenty cake was delicious. The iced drinks and the rest of the food sounds good to, think I'll be back to give it a try. :) Definitely one of my favorite spots in Brighton. Might be beating out marwood cafe since it has a lot more space and sun, just wish they had better coffee

one of my go to places in Brighton, want coffee? they make great coffee. Want a drink? they have plenty of choices. Staff is fast and friendly! Prices are what you expect in Brighton. The atmosphere is 10/10, each table is different, so many cool details and decorations, different rooms. The music is also great and they have wifi! I highly recommend.

Really nice place with an amazing interior, it's like walking inside a real life collage! It's really entertaining reading the stories written on the wall in the toilet. Made my toilet visit longer than expected. Also a few strong Belgian beers hihi

I cannot represent and review the food, however the atmosphere and drinks in this pub are amazing. The place is so groovy and you could spend a long time just looking at the tiny details. If your a beer drinker then highly recommend the house schooner which is 2/3 of a pint with a good cost. It's become my favorite and local pub

Either have a pint, cup of coffee, work with laptop, watch some gigs: this is the place for them. Open everyday and until late. It’s a bit quirky and I love particularly their dirty chai (best in town). The staffs are nice too!

Presuming eds new breakfast menu is OUT OF THIS WORLD! Damn, those wild garlic mushrooms with the full English breakfast and avocado and halloumi bagel with chilli jam is simply divine. Presuming eds has always had a great reputation for food but now I'm not going to be able to keep away.

Nice and interesting place to have a drink. I had only hygiene issue about the place, and toilets that flush did not work.

Very unassuming and laid back coffee house. I had the vegan orange cake and the first non-dairy cappuccino I’ve found anywhere since becoming lactose intolerant (granted we’re new to Brighton and it’s probably more commonplace than anywhere else but it still felt like a treat!) The staff were friendly but left us alone to get on with our yummy cakes. It felt like the right atmosphere to just ‘be’ with nobody paying attention to anyone else’s business
