Great food no complaints cooked to perfection. Cod and chips with mushy peas was delicious. The deep fried white bait starter was amazing. Would definitely recommend this place and will return again when I visit Brighton next time.
Had a friend over from Holland had to have our traditional English food, fish chips and mushy peas it was fantastic.... staff were lovely and it was warm and welcoming as the weather was bitterly cold and snowing. We will return
We visited yesterday for lunch and was very impressed with the new refurbishment, the staff were smartly dressed and very friendly and PIP was great at entertaining my 6 year old daughter. The food was great too Highly Recommeneded
Never had a problem here, we always eat here when we come to Brighton and always enjoy it. Staff are always nice and food goes down a treat so thumbs up all round
Had fish and chips elsewhere in the UK but the one at Palm Court was the best we have had so far. Service staff was friendly and attentive. Amazing experience of catching the murmuration of starlings live from where we were seated. Unforgettable.
We like to pop in and eat here when we are in Brighton. It's a large restaurant and we seem to go when it is quiet. The food is nice. The only qualm I have is that my other half ordered a sundae and his came to the table, 15 mins later I got my brownie when he had already finished. The place was empty so not sure why it wasn't timed better! This doesn't put us off eating here though and we will be back next time we are in town.
Beautiful place and view. Fantastic fish and chips. The seats could have been more comfortable outside, but that didn't really matter. BEWARE, THE SEAGULLS ARE NOT PLAYING AROUND...
As a retired 66-year-old Irish gentleman with a penchant for good ol' fish and chips, I recently had the pleasure of visiting a delightful eatery nestled at Brighton Pier. This hidden gem, known as "Brighton's palace Pier," truly lives up to its name.
From the moment I stepped inside, I was transported to a bygone era of traditional seaside dining. The cozy interior, adorned with charming seaside decor, exuded a sense of warmth and nostalgia. The friendly staff greeted me with genuine smiles, making me feel like an old friend returning to his favorite haunt.
Now, let's talk about the main event—the fish and chips. My taste buds were in for a treat! The fish, enveloped in a crisp, golden batter, was a sight to behold. With each bite, the flaky white flesh melted in my mouth, perfectly complemented by the generous sprinkle of salt and vinegar. The chips, oh, the chips! They were simply divine—crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, and oh-so-satisfyingly seasoned.
To accompany my meal, I indulged in a cup of piping hot tea, the quintessential British beverage. It provided a comforting contrast to the crispy goodness on my plate.
As I savored my meal, I couldn't help but glance out the window, capturing glimpses of the breathtaking views of the pier and the shimmering sea beyond. It was a feast for the senses, a symphony of flavors and sights that transported me to a state of pure contentment.
Brighton's Finest Catch at the pier is a place where tradition and culinary excellence converge. If you're a lover of authentic fish and chips and appreciate a warm, welcoming atmosphere, this charming establishment will surely become a cherished memory, just as it has for this retired Irish gentleman.
Lovley place, good food!
Fish was fresh, had a good time.
Nothing more like it than seafood at the seaside.
The mussels were really fresh and delicious. The white wine sauce didn't overpower the natural flavour off the mussels. Really juicy mussels.
The whitebait had a really crispy exterior and soft meat inside. It was the first time ever and it tasted really good.
Chips weren't really crispy unfortunately :/
The portions were a bit generous. I liked that. The servers are really nice people.
Would come again.
A very accommodating restaurant for a spontaneous cooked lunch considering it's popularity, location and view from the pier.
The staff were incredibly friendly and the food was top quality.
Was very pleasantly surprised with great tasting fish & chips and very very generous serving size. Even the kids menu portions were approaching proper adult size... Prices were reasonable and it felt great to leave the noise of the busy pier behind for half an hour and sit down for a decent meal and a pint. Recommended.
Really nice fish and chips, the fish is always fresh and meaty! The price is good for what you get and the service is good. The restaurant itself is nice, large and comfortable. Good for anyone and family with children.
The fish and chips are excellent. Chips with a good potato taste (rather than oil). Super-fresh sweet fish and a fantastic location with awesome views. Great service.
Just try the fish chips and mushy peas with a pot of tea for the ultimate British seaside lunch.
In the middle of the Palace/Brighton pier, lovely dining, especially the fish and chips, great service and of course your several hundred metres out to sea. So fabulous views of Brighton seafront.
Such a lovely place to start your journey in Brighton. Every time we come here we have nice fish and chips or scampi. Service was good, Kaya was lovely. There are loads of tables inside and out. Great sea views and cool sea breeze.
I would recommend this place for everyone .
P.s. they do Boris's discount as well.
We had the most amazing dining experience at Palm Court last night. It was an absolute gem of an evening, and I can't stop raving about it. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that this restaurant goes above and beyond to ensure their customers have a fantastic time.
First and foremost, the manager was absolutely incredible. They were attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to make sure our dining experience was perfect. Despite us arriving close to closing time, they not only welcomed us with open arms but also treated us like VIPs. Their warmth and hospitality were truly commendable.
The staff were equally exceptional. Even though it was late, they were all smiles and incredibly accommodating. They made us feel special throughout the entire meal, and their dedication to ensuring our comfort was evident.
The food was exquisite; every dish was a masterpiece. The chef's culinary skills shone through in each bite, and the presentation was nothing short of art. The flavours were rich and unforgettable.
I can't thank the team at this restaurant enough for making our visit so memorable. This restaurant deserves the highest praise for their fantastic service, delectable food, and the way they treat their customers, even when the clock is ticking towards closing time. I will undoubtedly be returning for another extraordinary dining experience.
I had ordered take away, quality of the food and the service was outstanding. I would especially like to thank Seda, who helped me choose my meal thanks to her suggestions, for her friendliness and help.
Great place for fish and chips on Brighton peer. Best to get takeaway and eat it on one of the many benches and deckchairs on the peer overlooking the sea. Have with mushy peas for the ultimate authenticity! Tartare sauce and ketchup sachets available. Don’t drop chips on the floor or you’ll be inundated with sea gulls!
