What an amazing job they've gone with this pub! Amazing roof terrace where we held a birthday celebration with friends. Cool to sit under the stars and have a real fire keeping us warm. Great staff, all our food came out together for us to share. The DJ upstairs was excellent. Would recommend to locals to give this place a try, it's too good for tourists!
The atmosphere is electric felt like I was 21 again, the staff were so helpful and the bloke with that beautiful man bun had some great chat. The unisex toilets were very nice aswell rate that since I'm nervous pisser. 10/10 would drink there again

Just a very cool place... 4/5 out of 5 that is to say if there are any better places around.. If not its a 5 from me, especially because of the location.

Absolutely lovely place to eat, waitress was delightful.
My husband had the nachos, I had the hummous with pittas. Was extremely filling and lush. Loads of pitta bread with mine.
Would definitely visit again. :)

We had our Christmas party here yesterday, I'm so happy with how it all turned out. The Food was lovely, the staff were SO helpful and the venue was perfect for us. Thank you so much to the whole team, especially the guys on the bar they were outstanding!

As someone who is very fussy about how they like their roast dinners, this meal was great. Very well prepared, tasted great and beautifully presented. Their cauliflower pops were to die for.
The server was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
The only thing that made me not give a 5/5 was that the roast potatoes were not crispy, although this is a very minor quibble.

Pretty decent walk by choice for a few drinks. The place was friendly and good buzz to its. Tables a little uncomfortable and shakey but not a major complaint. Staff were friendly. Ordered cocktails which were a little poor to taste but fine for two for £10
What a friendly and lovely pub. Was served by Ruby. She was very kind and friendly barmaid. Would definitely go again if she was serving. Will definitely visit again when visiting Brighton x
We managed to sneak in without a booking on a busy Sunday (the midday slot) and it was the first week of their new roasts kitchen. I had the lamb shank and partner had the pork. Mine was so tasty, a huge shank which was perfectly tender. Rich bone marrow gravy, good veg (kale, big carrots cooked to perfection, red cabbage) and a huge yorkie - would swerve the smear of puree as a personal preference but otherwise a really good plate. Pork was nice but not quite as good apparently. The one issue we had though was cutlery - it was terrible! When you're paying £18 for a roast you want to be able to cut it! Would recommend they improve on that but otherwise fab service and a nice plate of food.
A really cool bar/ eatery. Brilliant choices of food to share or have alone and a wide selection of meat, veggie and vegan dishes to suit everyone. Also a lovely selection of drinks, a good place to try if visiting Brighton.

Since my last not so good review , things have changed for the better at the Amsterdam.
Chloe the new manager and her team, Nadia , Ben and Katie are all nice and pleasant .
We are always greeted with a smile and made to feel welcome.
The beer is good as is the food, and on Mondays food is 50% off !!
Probably the best pub in Shoreham.

Great little bar - decent range of music and the drinks are perfectly priced for a mixed bunch on a night out. Cant believe I’ve not been here before, really enjoyed it 😛
Nice bar! Saw a wriggle deal on cocktails for ‘Upstairs @ Mrs Fitzherberts’ so me and my friends decided to give it a go. Was not disappointed! Lovely drinks! Especially would recommend the Golden Shower cocktail, sweet and fruity but surprisingly strong and lovely presentation. The plant pop cups and the watering can was a nice touch. Very quirky decor and it felt intimate but spacious. Would definitely go back and recommend for anyone who fancies a nice drink. They have a terrace area too which I bet is lovely when it gets a bit warmer. Overall lovely experience!
This place is quirky and awesome with extremely friendly staff and awesome cocktails.
They claim to have "the best mojitos in brighton" and honestly I believe it. Yum.
They had an AWESOME cover band on the Thursday we went too.
Ate mid week and extremely happy with the Caribbean food on offer, ordered a sharing platter and couldn’t finish it despite us both being greedy, and then heard about the roast…. A very well priced affair and absolutely stunning. Ordered a side of cauliflower cheese to round it off . Go here but book as you’ll need to. Staff outstanding making it all a perfect Sunday afternoon. Seriously this is a great place to eat .

Great food. Tastes amazing. Good variety of chips and toppings. Lots of vegan and veggie options as well. We did sit in a corner with some odd lighting, but that was our fault. Pretty cheap as well. Overall really nice.

What a find! A family run pun with a Caribbean twist. The food was so good, we had the platter between 3 and there was more than enough. Chicken wings, coleslaw, mac and cheese, fries and the squid! Lovely, friendly staff. Will definitely go back for more. Excuse the photo - we were hungry!
Lovely little spot, friendly and professional staff, walked past here many times and the first I’ve decided to take the plunge and dine. The jerk chicken is highly recommended, 😊😊👍🏽👍🏽
