Having just moved into Brighton I was super nervous about where I should go but luckily I know a load of locals that have all recommended one place. This one place is the actors. Omg I've not looked back since. This is a fantastic pub with really friendly stuff. Fantastically friendly locals that go there and an amazing selection of drinks. So if you are looking for a safe place and a LGBTQIA PLUS Safe haven actors is the place for you. I mean stop reading and go to maps now I totally love it and all of the events a truly epic pub in Brighton and one that stands above all of the other amazing places that you can find here. Luv ya all have fun and see you there 💃💃💃💃

We live in a time where "community" is so often a buzzword thrown about rather than a concept fully realised. I'm happy to say that genuine community is alive and well at The Actors. On a quieter evening, I first experienced this pub as a charmingly romantic little date spot steeped in queer history - over time frequenting The Actors, I have come to understand it as perhaps the most warming and welcoming place in all of Brighton. This is thanks in huge part to the incredible staff and team at The Actors, who give it their absolute all every day to ensure that this venue's unique position as an asset to the community is preserved and kept lovely, joyous, inviting, and safe for all to enjoy. I simply can't recommend coming here enough when what you need is an escape from it all!

I loved this place. An old pub brimming with wonderful queer joy and talent. Did two femfest events which were both very enjoyable. A cabaret show and a crafting workshop. Staff were lovely! Space limited, but they do their best with being so popular. Will definitely come again!

Love this pub! A proper queer oasis, with a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. Drinks were super well priced and was nice just to be in a punk, queer space. One to come back to ✨

A very welcoming, inclusive atmosphere with lots of friendly people; perfect for a Fringe show performance .They were running low on beer choices but that was only because they'd sold so much.

The most amazing and welcoming pub I have ever visited. The staff are all phenomenal and service is immaculate. They always have interesting events, making it a gem of the local community. An absolute must visit, especially for LGBTQ+ people (although all are welcome as long as you are respectful).

Saw a play as part of the annual Femfest. The theatre upstairs is simple and functional but has a great atmosphere. The bar downstairs is thoroughly inclusive, vibrant and friendly. I'll definitely go again when next in Brighton.

I've been visiting The Actors this year on Sundays, to contribute to the weekly open mic night that happens in the back bar. For someone looking to build community connections and break the ice with some insanely talented, kind, and generous people, you could do a lot worse than The Actors. Open and effortlessly queer friendly, this is a space for anyone looking to make friends and broaden their horizons. The pizza is definitely worth a try too. See you Sunday?

Love everyone here in everyway. Forever. It’s nice and life affirming to still have a home or a safe(r) LGBTQIA+ inclusive accessible space, that isn’t flooded with Cis-hets as their local trend! Massive love and strength xX

Very welcoming LGBTQ venue. Perfect for quieter drinks with small groups. There's also lots of fantastic regular events.

Really nice place, especially for the queer community. Felt very welcoming, warm and friendly. Lots of nice smiles exchanged between strangers. It does get cramped on weekends and during events so be aware of that if you struggle with crowds. Pizzas are reasonably priced (didn't eat but saw others order food and it looked good) but honestly feel a little scammed to pay £6.35 for a bottle of cider.

We've been here a couple of times for a pint or two during an afternoon stroll round Brighton. Slightly off the road location from the Steine, so we found it by accident the first time - lucky us! The staff are excellent and always very chatty. Pub has been quiet when we've been in, the next visit has to be so we can enjoy what the theatre has to offer. Toilets here are transgender, but not a problem as they are very well maintained.

Somewhere that is genuinely L & T friendly and not just G & B. Very cosy and nice atmosphere. Really nice to be able to go to an LGBT friendly pub and not a bar. I have mobility issues and use a cane and this place is very accessible bar a few stairs into the entrance.

This is one of my favourite pubs in Brighton! LGBTQ Friendly and has great events on in the theatre upstairs. However this place is not accessible to get into but it does have an accessible bathroom. There is a small ramp to get into the side entrance but it's not the most stable. It's a shame because this place is really great and stuff are really friendly!
