Walking past at 5.30pm, on a random midweek evening, realised that it might be the only Indian takeaway place within a ten minute walk that I've never been a customer of. Spur of the moment, impulse decision, decided to change that. Extensive menu in the window, and inside is a counter behind which is a nice looking open kitchen, all solid commercial burners, ovens and warming cabinets. I ordered a Chicken Dhansak (rice included), Sag Paneer and Onion bajhee, total cost was £18.80, which for a takeaway/delivery joint was a couple of quid more than I expected. The rice came out of a hot cabinet, normal practice on a Friday night i imagine but since I was probably the days first punter, I don't know when it went in there or how long it had been in there. Curry was really tasty, hot, thick dhansak sauce, just how I like it, enjoyed it immensely. The two sides were a bit disappointing, sadly. The (boss) chef obviously knows his stuff and without doubt carries the business. Although I felt something was lacking, that curry was good enough for me to try again, maybe a later time on a different day next time. I've had better, I've had worse, but l'm convinced that I should be back another day.

Delicious food! So fresh and flavoursome. Especially love the Saag aloo, it’s not oily like you find in other places. Paneer tikka masala is great too, so creamy. Feel terrible - we forgot to tip the delivery driver! Will tip extra next time :)

We absolutely love Red Chillies, ever since our daughter introduced us to them last year, we have never been disappointed. We are always made to feel very welcome & the open kitchen is always spotlessly clean, even when it’s busy, they’re constantly wiping the sides down. They use a tandoori oven to make my favourite dish, chicken shashlik but we also love the wide range of veggie sides they do. I can’t wait to try their new branch in Woudingdean, Green Chillies.

Really beautiful food and one of the best Indian's I've ever had at an incredible price. Amazing rich flavours in both their classic and chef specialty dishes. Having fun working through the menu having moved to Presron Park.

Such a brilliant place. AMAZINGLY fresh, clean, shiny and spacious feel. …. my partner and I both LOVED sitting + watching all the team doing their careful and precise thing, like family together… so Present each of them… and smiley, playful. Bangladeshi brilliance. (I think they’re from Bangladesh, sorry if not….). Anyway awesome culture going on there. 100% RECOMMEND and food was DELICIOUS! 2nd visit to these guys.. and DEFINITELY 100% will be going again.

The food is always really tasty and well cooked. Tends to be on the hot and spicy side, which is fine by me but beware if you prefer milder dishes. The curries avoid oiliness which some takeaways are guilty of. Great staff, really friendly. The totally open kitchen has a great vibe too. Definitely the best Indian takeaway in the area.

I did a preorder for delivery for 15 people and they were so great on the phone and got the delivery spot on with some complimentary extras! Everyone loved the food- all tasty and great for a party as all well labelled and came with rice and a popadom, couldn’t recommend more

The Red Chillies Indian takeaway has become a family favourite. Reasonably priced food which includes rice and poppadoms. I like that as it makes it simple to order. Tasty food and speedy delivery. Friendly and good value curry and has become very popular. The Key is to keep the standard of food and service high as they become busier. Time will tell. Yet to have a bad curry from here. We will reorder soon!

We met the owner Siaad outside their new business opening soon in Woodingdean . He is such a lovely guy so friendly. He said their new branch was opening within the next couple of weeks but we were welcome to try their already well established take away on Preston Drove. Last night we did exactly that & we were definitely not disappointed!! We ordered starters , 3 mains, 2 sides rice & naan. All dishes were so flavoursome. My husband said it was the best Jalfrezi he's ever had. The chicken korma melted in your mouth and my sister who is vegetarian tried the paneer dish with lime which she said was amazing. Ash (the son) took our order and him & his dad were so pleased we came over to their other shop they gave us some extra poppadoms & pickles which was so kind and also a lollypop for our 7 year old daughter. The kitchen is open & you can watch the chefs at work. The Woodingdean take away will be exactly the same as will the menu. We are so delighted to have this new business opening near us. Look forward to seeing you soon regards Trish David & Amelia.x

Delicious lamb biryanis and chicken tikka prepared in minutes in full view in Red Chillies open kitchen, complete with spectacular flames and sizzling pans. Meals come with complimentary popadoms and onion salads. Great food, nice people. Highly recommended!

Easily the best curry in Brighton. Absolutely lovely lot, so kind, warm and personable. They evidently take an immense pride in what they do. Fairly priced (rice and poppadoms included) and the option to have white fish with all curry options felt a delight for this pescetarian who can feel relegated to some takeaway menus' corners. Won't hesitate to order from here again. Their driver was lovely, wishing us a happy new year, which after this decadent feed, it certainly is. Great curry: don't hesitate.

Had a delivery from here recently. Great onion bhaji, tasty chicken dhansak with plenty of sauce, nice fresh tasting spinach bhaji and a good mushroom rice. Friendly service, free poppadoms, onion salad and sauce for the onion bhaji. Good value for money all round.

We now use this as our Indian takeaway. The place is really clean and the staff are helpful and friendly. We order the classic dishes which come with rice, popadom and usually some water melon and onion salad. We have starters which usually consists of onion bhajees, samosas, mixed tikka or reshmi kebab all of which are really tasty. Sometimes we order a bread of some description but to be honest the main dishes, of which there are many, are very generous in portion size. They will deliver free on orders over £12 but as we're quite local we order by phone then go and pick up the food. I can thoroughly recommend Red Chillies.

Still the very best Indian food I've eaten in Brighton so far! The chefs here are literally in their element at the peak of their culinary skills. Such a great team it's awesome watching them cook. We put one huge delivery order in on a Friday night with 12 seperate orders and delivery was as fast as expected for a Friday night meals were hot, prices beat everywhere else locally! all mains come with rice, onion salad, and popadom. No indoor dining seats but fast delivery or pickup. Instagram: #BrightonFoodie #BrightonVegan #BrightonCurry

Have a takeaway from here every other weekend, Love love the paneer Achari shashlick still. Taka Dhal, varies but is usually good (I rate a good Indian by the TAKA Dhal) But other dishes still seem a bit samey and red! But tasty. Wish they didnt give you endless bags of onions and salad in PLASTIC bags, unnecessary and bad for the environment,

We have regular takeaways from here as we love the Achari Paneer Shashlick, especially when it has enuogh of the chilli pickle in it (sometimes its a bit lacking). The other dishes are average, but consistantly ok. I do wonder why we always have so many plastic bags of a small amount of onions and salad? We never get through that amount anyway and why not just put it in one bag and save plastic?

Had to find a new place as my favourite one, for eight years, (You know who you are on Lewes Rd) tried to fob me off with something that wasnt what we normally order. Anyway, called these guys and I am so glad I did. Fast, fresh, hot, and the flavour was spot on. Even the extras were top quality. Could not fault any of it so this is where I will be going from now on. I 100% recommend to anyone that wants a good curry at a very decent price.
