We had a private event in the upstairs bar and it was wonderful. The atmosphere is really great, the food is delicious and among the best burgers we've had, certainly in Brighton. Harry and his team could not have been more helpful. There's a great range of beers, great music playlists and the staff were wonderful. We will definitely be back!

I can usually take or leave burgers, my partner is more of a fan, but oh my word... Just delicious I think the nicest burger I have ever eaten, bacon, beetroot relish, blue cheese and chestnut mushrooms, beautifully cooked beef, even the side of pickles was incredible. Probably a good thing I don't live in Brighton or I'd soon be the size of a house. Will definitely be back next time we visit!
Interesting range of real ales. Can try 3 ales in 1/3rd pint glasses. Friendly staff. Tried to go back later in evening but was VERY busy. Not surprised. Excellent place to drink beer.
A pub that serves great draft beer and the best seitan burgers I've had anywhere. They are amazing. Just wish I lived closer.
Good tunes, welcoming staff, best burgers in btown and a great beer selection. Definitely one for those who enjoy craft beers and whiskeys.

Literally just finished one of the best roasts I've had in a long time. Had the beer butt chicken with a friend and we're both very happily stuffed. Everything from the vegetables, chicken to the gravy was amazing. The sharing idea is great you get the tray with separate plates yet everything can be equally divided, good idea if a person isn't keen on a certain vegetable as they can simply just not add it to their plate.
Had the Tommy's death by chocolate I can't even begin..just get it is all I can say.
Amazing roast, the Vegs were tastey, the potatos crispy, chicken was delicious and Juicy and the amstosphere nice and relaxed. Would recommend to everyone to come down and try out the roasts. Also the desert tommys death by chocolate was yummy! Best Sunday ever! :)

We had no idea what this pub space would be like but we dived in spontaneously and wow what a vibe. We ended up staying for our first whole night out because the music was 👌 and the atmosphere was so friendly and chill. The staff were cool and very prompt serving and there was plenty of space to sit and drink or dance. Highly recommend for anyone else visiting Brighton for the first time and wanting to be familiar with the people and culture. This is the place to be.

Seriously, the staff was helpful and wanted to make sure we were taken care of as we came out of the rain. A good selection of drinks and a staff that will take care of you. What more could you ask?
Stopped in for the vegan Sunday roast, on a day trip from London in July '23. Delicious. The chef was very accommodating and friendly. This meal was better than most in London!
Pretty cool, unique little pub with seating upstairs (not ventured up there yet, though).

Popped in here for a couple of pints after work this afternoon and can safely say it was the most pleasant experience I’ve had in a Brighton pub in a very long time. I was greeted with nothing but smiles and joy by the fantastic bar staff - particularly Sam with whom I had some lovely chats and banter. Always nice to feel welcome in a nice establishment and to meet staff who take the utmost pride in their job. Think I’ve found a new local boozer! 10/10 (especially the music selection)
What a great set up, banging staff excellent beers and an awesome way to people watch the amazing beauties of Brighton! Would highly recommend sitting out here on a great day, shame we didn't eat would have loved to of tried what read like a beautiful although vegan menu!
I don't get to go out much these days! But i went out a few weeks ago with some friends and we ended up here and im so glad we did! No drama, just pure fun and nostalgia...theyve managed to make a venue fun and current whilst also feeling nostalgic of my youth and im so grateful for it! Nothing but fun vibes and staff! Didn't eat so didn't mark what their food was like. Really great place for a dance and a sing along
Great beer, visited on Saturday then Monday, the street seating on the Saturday really enhanced the 'vibe'. They do a food offering that's 100%vegan (we didn't get to try this on our visit). Would definitely revisit when in the area again
2023 .....had to revisit as we were in Brighton for the Christmas market (that got cancelled last minute) and as expected excellent beer and friendly staff
Stumbling around Brighton at midnight , myself and 3 friends needed a decent bar to go ! So we tried east street tap! For a Monday it was a great atmosphere and lovely bar staff! The girl with the black hair and cool tattoos ( think her name was Becky?) was class ! Such a good night all in all! Terrible head in the morning
Passed by for a pint and Ti made my stay so memorable. She has the best welcoming energy and great knowledge, loved her recommendation. Would definitely pop around more often!
East Street is good vibes, music is always on point, many drinks to choose from but the biggest shout out goes to Sam John who is the best bar man in town in my opinion! Always great service and chat, he clearly goes above and beyond outside of the responsibilities of his role as well.
Was on holiday to Brighton. Happened upon on this bar, omg so glad I did! What a fantastic place, great music, loved the decor and really well keep beer. What made it for my husband and I was definitely the bar man, totally awesome chap named Troy, he was brilliant with recommendations and descriptions of the beers and was really funny. We only went in for 1 but stayed for 4! He was funny, made us feel really welcome even though we are older, and kept us totally entained. I wish more bars employed people like him. He really made our night.
