Hello Malmaison Brighton,
We must acknowledge you guys, from walking in the hotel, right up to leaving, you provided a fantastic experience and stay for myself and my fiancée for her birthday in the Ibiza Suite room 353, the welcome by the staff on the desk, the welcome drinks, showing us to our room and going through the technicalities of the features in the room, which was absolutely fantastic, it was a room perfectly apt for myself and my fiancée, so much so, the framed picture on the wall representing our favourite clubnight, backtobasics and our friends named at the bottom of it, Ralph, Dave and James, they couldn't believe it when we messaged them, the whole room was perfect! To top it all, you had placed a complimentary bottle of champagne in our room and a complimentary glass of prosecco each from the bar, which we were absolutely over the moon with so thank you so much for those gestures. The breakfast in the morning was delicious to say the least, set us up for the whole day, and we left our luggage with you for the afternoon while we went shopping.
We sincerely want to thank you all, especially Sylvie ((I think that's the correct spelling) on the desk, and another young lady, who I am really annoyed with myself for forgetting her name, very young petite lady, working on the desk when we arrived on Friday 13th and checked out on Saturday 14th, they both were brilliant and welcoming, nothing was too much for them.
We really would love to come back again in the very near future, that's how much we really enjoyed it.
Had a fabulous night away, the staff were amazing, happy and friendly, our room was perfect overlooking the beautiful marina, the cocktails fabulous and the breakfast was perfect � highly recommend this lovely hotel
Marvels Mothers Day, just home resting on the sofa after a delicious meal. We had fantastic service from Julia. The Sunday lunch is a feast. You can choose as much as you like for starters; smoked salmon, salads, cheeses, chicken, cold cuts, bread, soup etc. Then a full roast which is cooked to perfection. Not forgetting an indulgent pudding. I loved the treats the Mummy's got. We got a gift bag and a glass of champagne. I'd highly recommend a visit.
Lovely location especially when the sun is shining and you can sit outside. Great food and good service. Thoroughly recommend. We will be back again as ever. ��
We went for the afternoon tea.. the service was good, the booth we had was lovely and the food and presentation looked amazing. I would definitely recommend to go and I would definitely take the girlfriend there again as she thoroughly enjoyed it

I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. From the minute we arrived we were made to feel exceptionally welcome by every member of staff we met. We were there for our wedding anniversary and were given a card and complimentary champagne which was a lovely gesture. We had a beautiful room overlooking the marina which was clean and very comfortable. The hotel is in a great location with lots of bars and restaurants around to choose from. We finished our evening in the hotel bar, working our way through the cocktail menu- a great atmosphere and great drinks with incredibly friendly staff. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and will most definitely be back. Thank you to all the lovey staff!
Had a fantastic stay with several free drinks and a room upgrade as it was my birthday! Excellent service from the lovely Trinidadian receptionist. Excellent meal too!
Together with 17 other guests we celebrated our 60th wedding anniversary with a 3 course lunch. The service was exemplary and the food good. The Malmaison proved a very good venue for our special day.
Just back from a night at this hotel for my husbands birthday .it was a fantastic stay hotel was funky our room was trendy with comfy bed , great coffee,fab bathroom and super view over marina .so many places to eat and drink around this hotel .staff very freindly have booked again to go back for my biryhday �
Visited 3rd April. Great barman who customised a cocktail order for me, it was perfect, thanks.
Dining room was quiet, just 4 tables. Seating starting to show wear & tear. Waitress was friendly & pleasant but not paying enough attention to diners. Had to chase her up to ask for the cheque. Bottle of disinfection on view for the duration of our visit.
Hubby enjoyed his burger & chips, nice size portion.
I had the black bean burger, lovely flavours but had the consistency of mashed potato, would not recommend.
There was also no toilet-check during my 90 minute visit...
Went to Chez Mal brasserie at Brighton Marina's Mal Maison hotel for dinner last night. The menu was good, with a fair selection of choices. Some great cocktails. Our wine wasn't chilled, but the waiter soon replaced this with a suitably cold bottle. Food was generally good all round. My ribs could have done with being a bit hotter, but they were very tasty. Desserts were all nice. Presentation & service was good. Busy with a lively atmosphere. Will definitely go back.
I was a little unsure on coming here due to some of the poor reviews, but I'm so glad I did! The food was lovely. Perfect truffle fries, nice soup and I'd definitely recommend the pineapple carpaccio. The only improvement point would be the somewhat dry bread.
But what really made the evening for me was the great service. Both servers were absolutely fabulous and especially the girl (the receipt mentions her name may be Tamsin?) was fantastic with my little boy and just overall great with all the guests. Some of the best service I've had in a while, she deserves a shout out x
We couldn't decide where to have Sunday lunch in the Marina and in the end opted for Chez Mal and we loved it.
The roast beef was just perfect, the atmosphere was friendly and relaxing, the service was superb.
Couldn't have asked for more from a dining out experience.
We decided to try Chez Mal instead of our usual pub Sunday lunch and we’re glad we did. The service was incredibly slow as the staff seemed busy throughout a large serving area. However, they were all lovely, friendly and helpful.
We loved the vast buffet of appetisers, which included hot soup as well as a decent selection of salads, cold meats and cheeses (including my favourite charcoal biscuits).
We chose the veggie roast which was a roasted butternut squash, which was tasty although we did not think this offered the same value as the meat dishes. The only disappointment were the roast potatoes, which were crunchy and hard rather than crisp and fluffy.
This two-course meal was £20, desserts were an extra £3.50 and wines were reasonably priced. (There’s a bottomless Prosecco deal for an extra £15). This was not a cheap lunch option but for just over £30 each we enjoyed a relaxing 2 and a half hours, in a comfortable spacious environment, marred only by a crying toddler.
We held our office Christmas party at Malmaison. We were a large group of people, it always gets a bit rowdy but the function room is perfectly contained and the food was good quality and the evening went very smoothly overall.
They have an easy online booking service to pre-order meals, it had a couple of glitches but nothing major. The Events team were a pleasure to deal with and I would definitely recommend for functions.

was good and our waitress Zoe keen and welcoming. It was enjoyable having comfortable surroundings and a good view of the marina. I will recommend Chez Mal to friends and will return soon again.
Tasty food in pleasant surroundings served by Zoe (fabulous, fun and friendly) and her lovely colleague (Edward?). New Chef Christina has certainly improved things again. Not a huge menu choice, but tasted good and well-presented.

not a big menu - which we prefer as more likely to be freshly cooked. Decent wines, well prepared food, delicious. service a bit hit and miss at times though.

Booked here for a hen party for a private dining service and its one of the best places i've ever dined in for a large group.
The service and staff were very professional and the food was amazing.
Great place to dine must advise book in advance. Steak meal good portion just right, and George is the man to ask for...... Will deffo be back
