An old favourite of mine, a great, very large pub in Brighton has outdoor covered area and an old coach house look to the place quite close to the sea front well worth a visit.
Private party in top room, service was friendly, main bar busy. Visited previously for football shown on the projection screen, outside area which is nice in summer.
Very friendly staff. Helpful with selecting beer. 💪💪

First thing you'd notice is the sheer size of the pub, in my opinion that's a plus as it comes off as a surprise, from the outside it doesn't look nowhere near as big. Service was alright, although it does take a while to buy something as the night goes on, understandable considering the popularity of the pub. The outdoor area is nice, the placement a bit off when compared to other pubs, but spaced out well enough to not feel too crowded. Atmosphere is great and the historic theme of the establishment really compliments the long history of pubs. Its capacity in having people in does allow for a wide variety of people to come in, one more different than the other. Overall, great place for a quick stop or the night's conclusion to a hangout, recommend.
The King and Queen is a pub in the seaside resort of Brighton. The current building has architectural and historical significance. The current building dates from the 1930s. Before that, it was here from 1860.
The front of the house has a lot of beautiful details, so you have to take your time and inspect everything thoroughly.
Great pub. Bar staff are friendly, approachable and helpful. We went in to watch day 1 of Cheltenham. They happily put the TV on the right channel with no problem. Last 2 races were on Racing TV which due to a lack of local interest they don't subscribe to which is fair enough. Food was spot on and bar prices are pretty good. Definitely recommend
I wonder why I have not visited here sooner. The atmosphere is crazy and the music is vibrant.

Really like the spaciousness of this pub. Have had many great nights out dancing in the past here. Loved that we easily got a table for drinks with friends just before Christmas '23. Friendly staff. Historic building in a good location. Good cheesy chips!
Dear customers,
I highly appreciated this restaurant with very kind staff and delicious food. We tested the fish and chips and I think it is the best I have ever tried ! The interior decoration is atypical but very pleasant. However, the toilets are a little bit dirty and some are clogged in both of the bathrooms. Nonetheless, I still recommend this place to any tourist in Brighton who wants to have a nice and simple fish and chips.
Came in here out of the Brighton rain and realised the pub is a historic gem. Glad it rained!
I don’t know the bouncer’s name but there was unfortunately a creepy man who was looking at all the young girls (this isn’t common for this pub). I told a bouncer and he took me serious straight away and spoke to the man as well as telling his colleagues to keep an eye on him. This man is so so lovely and is so friendly when we come to this pub. I have never had a bouncer be so considerate and kind. He deserves a pay rise please protect this man at all costs<3
A cracking place for pool and chatter. Plenty of space. We went in a quieter earlier part of the day but anyone dropping in seems to also appreciate its a cool place. Massive bar, friendly staff, upstairs bar area and seating. HUGE drinks selection. Make your way to it, get a cocktail... its awsome.
Stopped off for a quick daytime drink, massive pub, pretty empty, drinks were good and the staff were friendly and the seating was really nice and comfortable
Great pub for sports, although get in early before a game to secure a seat. The food is good value and good quality too. Staff were all friendly
Had a lovely Doggie friendly welcome here. 😊 A staff member bought over a bowl of water for my pooch which was a nice gesture. Although a big pub there are numerous comfy nooks to sit in where upon we ate a nicely presented tasty meal ,swiftly served, and downed a goodly pint of Harvey's Armada. It was good to revisit a student haunt of mine after 35 years!
Gigantic pub, massive really. Sports on large screens though as good as it is could do with a few more to make sense of the space. Still nice service, friendly team today, mainly HUK beer range including 3 Brixtons. For a biggie match you would consider here
It's like an independent Wetherspoons, reasonable drink prices and always busy - but definitely more athentic of an older time period. Shows great live sports and has a few pool tables. Huge outside beer garden, reminds me of October fest when in season, but very popular with Brighton's student demographic, so be prepared 😅
Great sports pub! Lots of space, lots of TVs and projectors. The building architecture and history was pretty cool too. The two local beers we tried were a bit meh, but that's not their fault. Also, on the busy sports day, it smelled a lot like man sweat...but again, not their fault, lol!
