Great pub! Good location, friendly staff, reasonable prices. The interior and exterior are lovely. The building dates back to the 1920s. Plenty of seating that covers two floors. Restrooms are upstairs, but there is a handicapped restroom on the ground floor as well as handicapped accessible entr
It was a warm Saturday early evening and it was busy. But the table service was excellent and the guy who delivered the drinks was spot on. A few beers and then the train back to the big smoke.
Really useful place for near to bus stops and a good variety of food and drink. Big place to see and sit in with both ground and upper floor areas for seating. A good place to come to if not too busy however.
Beautiful ambience and friendly staff. The pints are also pocket friendly.
Affordable and comfortable food and drink. Unlike almost every other pub the prices here are the lowest you will find for some decent food, for £25 (2024) you can have a huge choice of 2 meals, 2 drinks and a coffee. Or pay just £16 (2024) for ''3-plates''. Comfortable seating, with some sought afte
Normal spoons. It's only good for a cheap beer like others I've been to better. No atmosphere, boring, but I have given it 4 stars instead of the normal 3 because of the chicken wings I had. They were probably the best wings I've ever had. Even better than wing stop.
Lovely fresh cooked fish and chips today . Upstairs. Great guy serving, polite, smile, attentive, caring. Well done . Nice to see good customer service. Table 48.
Came here 4 times whilst visiting Brighton. The young (mostly student), long-suffering & hard-working staff were very good: efficient & helpful. I had something to eat on each occasion. Recommended. I’m a big fan of Spoons as a business. TOP TIP: choose carefully when to go to a Spoons: at times, es
Typical spoons, good beer, cheap prices. Staff were friendly, always around collecting empty glasses. The layout of the pub on the ground floor was just table and chairs, upstairs or halfway up had some bar stools with a short bar, you could either sit at the window or look across the ground floor,
A great Wetherspoons located in the centre of Brighton.. whilst in Brighton for Pride weekend we popped into many bars although we ended up frequenting here regularly. The place was extremely busy with barely a spare table/chair on any of our visits. We enjoyed Traditional Breakfasts on one of the
It's a Witherspoon's you know exactly what it's about and the type of place it is. Always find the good pretty good no different here. Beer is cheap. Pretty busy place as you would expect
It is what it is. Good breakfast freshly cooked and served with a smile. Downstairs coffee machine out of order and not easy for a couple of our party to make the stairs for only working machine. But you can refill as often as you like.
I had a five bean chilli with rice and a raspberry refresher(which was great as always)! But the quantity of rice was a bit less considering its price.
All day small brunch and a pint of ale. Always good value and the beer and food is tasty and fast. The venue is larger than it looks with seating on ground level, on this mid level landing and upstairs. Staff were great, as always.
As always, cheap beer and reasonable food quality and price. Very busy pub and in desperate need for a clean and refurbishment. More staff required too and some table cleaning.
Nice busy pub with friendly atmosphere (Saturday lunchtime). Full of interesting people. Food good and service prompt and courteous.
