I'm so happy to have such an awesome independent coffee shop on St James's Street! The coffee is second to none, the staff are exceptional and the shop is so wonderfully put together you could easily spend hours in there chatting away to the girls and guys that work there and sip on delicious coffee. Popping in for a catch up and a cappuccino is fast becoming the highlight of my working day :)
Stopped in today and grabbed a take away flat white, which was unfortunate because I didn't get to tell them that it was the best coffee I've had in years. The place was also lovely, great lighting, gorgeous coffee machine, and nice music, like stepping into a little bubble of calm. Next time, I'm drinking it there.
Really great coffee in a strong design led space.. try the basement for seriously cosy coffee and cake sessions. Welcoming attentive staff too. Stunning ceramics by Finola Maynard.. used on site and for sale .
Beautiful independent coffee shop, stunning decor, great music, best coffee on the street!! Only negative is it's pricey!! But it's a very nice environment all the same!!!
So glad to have discovered this place! A sanctuary on st.james street, dare I say!
Super friendly staff/ great coffee/ and an amazing space down stairs.
Best flat white in Brighton. Independent, relaxing, comfortable, great music, and free fizzy water from tap. The antithesis of Starbucks opposite. You won't want to have coffee anywhere else after you come here.
Good vibes, good coffee, good people. The place is an ultimate hangover cure.
We thought we'd check out the shiny new Red Roaster, but were turned away, as they have a new 'no dogs' policy. Happily, we discovered the wonderful Twin Pines just a few doors up the street, where Chester was fussed over and offered a bowl of water, while my friend and I settled back into the comfy, stylish cushions downstairs and enjoyed a delicious coffee and croissant. A perfect treat after a morning walk on the beach.
Nice place, nice staff and nice coffee. You can't go wrong here. :-)
Best staff and best hot chocolate in town
What a serendipitous find today in St James' Street.....loved my Iced Peruvian Pour Over and lovely friendly service - thankyou! Viva independent coffee shops of this calibre
Great coffee, and great décor, this is a very cool looking place, which you'd expect from the great minds that brought us the Black Dove
Such a beautiful, relaxing place the best caffee latte in the city
great coffee, great decor. my fav coffee shop in town by far !
Such an amazing space... great coffee and dog friendly
Great coffee spot. Perfectly prepared coffee! Nice cosy coffee shop with an excellent quality baristas who are consistent and really good at what they are doing.
What a find! Wonderful place that I just pottered into while waiting for Purezza to open next door. So glad I did. Best decaf coffee I have ever had. Would have had loads of them, but that pretty much defeats the purpose of decaf! Love the rich interiors and friendly service. Coffee is taken for serious enjoyment here!
Stunning loo too! 🤣

I only have one word to describe this place - utter vibez. The staff were some of the friendliest people I have ever met and the coffee gave me the buzz of a lifetime. Just completely immaculate vibes will be sure to be back
A cosy little coffee shop with comfortable seating and delightful decor.
An interesting little take on cups with no handles :-) .
Also has downstairs seating.
A hot chocolate and a latte came to about £6.20 to give a rough idea on pricing.
The staff are very pleasant and cheerful also helpful and good.
If you're looking for the best damn cup of coffee in Brighton, then look no further.
We've just spent three months in Sydney where the standard is such a high level everywhere, and this place would certainly make any visiting Ozzie feel right at home.
Oh, and we so so impressed with the cups that our flat whites were served in, we're going to buy some. 👍🏼
Superb independent coffee shop - chilled but sofisticated. We had an oatmilk flatwite and a veggie sausage roll - what a combo! - both were delicious. Nice seating outside. About the coffee, it is good to have a flatwite with the right amount of coffee and not too much milk, and even more when it is served in their own ceramic cup. Without a shed of a doubt, one of the best coffees you can have in Brighton.
A little quiet in a bustling street.
This dark and mysterious place was a butchers to start. It became known as "Jennifers"... The only place in Brighton that you could get fags and booze after 11pm.
At first glance it looks dark and dreary due to the décor and lighting. But hidden gem... Go down the staircase...
Relaxation.
Chilled.
Comfortable.
The cups don't have handles. The cups are quite small. I think it is worth going for the ambience.
Come here if you want a little oasis in a busy street. Go down the staircase.
Enjoy. I did🤣
Cool and yet v friendly coffee place on bustling James St. Fun decor with a touch of regency. Excellent flat white. Delicate coffee art. Sparkling water on tap. Hard to beat!
Very welcoming, dainty little place with amazing coffee. Staff are super friendly, and do check out the basement: it's a great place to chill with a book for a while.
Note: the place doesn't have wifi so not the best if you want to work with internet, but for writing or reading it's great!
Great looking cafe - nice vibe. Good music - joined the playlist on Spotify. Friendly staff. Chai tea latte and hot chocolate were very nice. Very nice place to hangout and have a drink.
