So, below is my original review and I'll leave it there, we gave the wings another change now they'd had some time to take people's feedback onboard and we were not disappointed.
The sauce is pretty darn good, it's a little different from the OB but it's tasty, the wings are cooked well, and they're not thin little wings either, they're beefy delicious wings. The curly fries are excellent as always, crisp and ready to be dipped into the blue cheese dip. I hear the chicken skins are coming back soon, they're pretty epic.

The pub is good. Most of the time the staff are lovely, the seating is fine. But. What we loved most about this pub was that they had an Orange Buffalo wings place in it.
Orange Buffalo has gone.
They've got new branding, and the sauce is nowhere near as good as it previously was. It's more watery and just... missing a massive amount of taste. The pub tells us they're the same people just without the branding but it's in the taste and it tastes nothing like it.
We identified the change without even knowing the branding had changed. We wanted it not to be broken so much that we even gave them a second chance. It's just. It's a 3*, not the 5* it used to be. A real shame.
Ok there are ok pubs, good pubs and great pubs. This is THE best pub with THE best food. Great vibes, music, people, staff, simply everything you need to create a super atmosphere. Had the Orange Buffalo wings and they were blow your mind amazing (literally). People! Get your bums down to this place now and everyday!
This is the best pub in Brighton I’ve lived in Brighton all my life and even got raised in pubs as a young girl love everything that happen here the drinks... the food and even the best bar maid Sinead keep up the good work girl and thank you � your amazing and thanks for a great experience xxxx
That was well good innit? We had the classic burger, the bbq sauce wings and buffalo fries with blue cheese sauce. Those chips boy!!!! Burger was huge & super tasty. Wings were crunchy covered in that delicious sweet lightly spiced bbq sauce. Great value for money and very friendly staff.
I've been frequenting the Joker for a few years now. The staff are wonderful and the atmosphere relaxed.
This is likely my favourite pub in Brighton, especially thanks to the food on offer: the best chicken wings I've ever had the pleasure to eat. Shout out to Lee and the rest of the chefs.
Excellent pub in Brighton. They've hit the right notes here with the atmosphere and ambience of the place. Staff go above and beyond to help customers enjoy their night out plus the food is spot on. Always my go to place on a night out!

Fantastic place! Friendly staff and a great beer selection and amazing wings! The snake in a basket is worth a go as well. The description of the Viper sauce isn't an exaggeration it will make you cry! You've been warned...
having wings on a daily basis now. the bloody mary is the shizzle ma nizzle and you should also try their passionfruit rum cup. also the staff is bloody cool and they all happen to be quite attractive. definitely going back there today for the xmas burger.
Dex and Jonson are amazing! We never knew about the upstairs. We booked downstairs a few weeks ago for a friends birthday, upstairs is way better! 100% coming back again for a booking.

We didn't get to sample the bites, but the selection of draught beer was excellent.

Cool pub with a nice, spacious layout right near the Duke of York. Great for us to have a pint before/after our cinema visits. They’ve got the Lost Boys kitchen in so fried chicken fans are in luck. Didn’t try the terrace but will definitely be checking it out in spring.
Foods great as ever, wings 😚🔥 dirty fries 🤤 only knocked a star off because the Erdinger is not quite up to scratch, that is most unsatisfactory, otherwise Wunderbar!

We had our wedding reception in the cocktail room of The Joker and the whole night was exceptional from start to finish.
From first contact when requesting the space to settling the bill at the end of the night the whole experience was quick, efficient and simple. It took all stress out of what could have been an extremely stressful time.
The day itself went off without a hitch and the staff made us feel special from start to finish so a huge thanks to everyone involved.
I couldn’t recommend highly enough!

We hired the upstairs at the Joker for a work event. The experience right from the start was fantastic, with the event staff being super helpful at all times.
On the night the staff were amazing, with nothing being too much trouble, along with the fantastic food!!!
Special mention to Joe who looked after us on the night, who made everything so relaxed for us!!

I booked an area in The Joker for work birthday drinks for about 25 people. I spoke with the team on the phone who was really helpful with booking the right kind of space for the vibe we wanted, and it ended up perfect. Everyone was complimenting the choice of venue, and everyone had such a great time. Everyone ate the amazing Lost Boys food as and when, and the bar staff were friendly, attentive and efficient for our drinks orders. Special shout out to Connor and Charlotte who were super nice albeit being incredibly busy. It’s rare to find bar staff who can handle the stress and pressure of a busy pub but still be friendly!! 100% would recommend to anyone looking for a fun night out! Especially if booking for a large group :) great night out had all round!
One of the best pubs in town for food, lost boys chicken is always worth a visit. The beer selection is decent and they often have live music on. Always a good vibe here.
Big trendy but welcoming pub. Lots of seating options with a roof terrace with pool & darts. We went on wing Wednesday & it was heaving but we easily found 2 bar seats. Not your traditional cheap wing Weds - 241 on regular portions which are £12.50 each. Delicious curly fries but again, felt expensive for £3.50 a portion when you know they are probably made much cheaper than that cost. All tasty though & loads of flavours to choose from! Hard when there's only 2 of you and it's probably 7/8 wings per portion! Took a little whole due to how busy it was. Would deffo go back.
1st time at The Joker! What I expect from a good pub. Decent selection of beers (although I am not a drinker), including their own brew. Comfortable and vibey. We were lucky to get a table as they had all been booked! So clearly a popular choice
I had my birthday party here - the staff were so easy with booking the ro and I didn’t have to worry about anything. Particularly impressed with Maddy for providing great service and helping us make sure food arrived in time! Will recommend
I hired out the cocktail lounge and games room for my 50th birthday party and it was brilliant! The space was perfect. Joe and his team were excellent. Joe was so helpful and helped make the evening flow, with great communication and smiles throughout. A truly memorable night!
Cosy spot for a meet up with friends before moving on to a restaurant. Nice lighting fire. Good beer...especially the Joker real ale. Plenty of seating. I didn't try the food on this visit but it looked good from what I saw folks order.
I hired out the cocktail lounge for my birthday party and we had an amazing night. The space is beautifully decorated, has a private bar, and the team were so welcoming and made sure our night ran smoothly! Highly recommend as a private hire venue.
I hired the upstairs room at the Joker for my 30th birthday party and had such an incredible night! The staff were so friendly and accommodating and the room was so beautiful. Joe especially helped with my music and everyone ensured I had a fun night - thank you!! I would recommend hiring the upstairs room for any special occasion!
I hired the cocktail lounge for my 30th and cannot thank the team enough! I had plenty of time during the day to decorate the space before the event, was able to choose a message on the cinema board and generally felt very welcomed. The evening ran super smoothly, was lovely to have the room privately and a private bar too. The bar staff were fantastic; everyone was commenting about this all night and they helped create a fun and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the event. Thank you so much!

Margot and the Team hosted a wonderful surprise birthday party up in the cocktail lounge, from initial booking through to the day, the process was flawless and the venue is fantastic, spacious, with attentive staff and great food. Highly recommend for your next celebration!
How do they make their chicken wings so damn tasty? That blue cheese sauce too, boiii - flavours so deliciously tasty my brain cannot comprehend, and I turn into a feral animal, leaving no trace of sustenance.
Please never stop making such delicious food, being so awesome and having such great beers on tap, or I will have to take to the streets in protest.

The Joker is an excellent venue in Brighton with warm welcoming staff and a great selection of specifically picked drafts and liquor choices. There chicken wings are an absolute game-changer - succulent, flavorful, and downright addictive.

I had my 30th birthday at the Joker and it was the perfect venue! Staff (Joe and Sam) were so attentive and warm and the upstairs space was great! I liked all the lights and decorations that were up and guests all commented on what a great venue it was. I recommend to everyone!
