Shortt’s was just a minute walk up the road from our AirB&B, so we started a mini-pub crawl into town here. There was a really friendly welcome from the bar-lady, who was extremely chatty. Popped in here twice this weekend whilst we were in Brighton. Did help it was 2 minutes from our B+B. Nice vibe to the place! Friday evening the music seemed to be good old 90’s! Then Saturday evening we got 80’s! Only had a drink but loved the atmosphere! Barmen were friendly as well! Recommend if

Spent a very enjoyable evening at Shortt's on Friday night. Very quiet when we ambled in around 8.30 but filled out for the live music which started at 10pm. A friendly welcome from the bar staff and reasonable bar prices too. Worth a visit.
We stopped by for a quick drink but picked the wrong time as they were re-furbishing the place so we had to dodge the Decorators and the couldn't sit outside as they were relaying the patio.

Always have a great time here. Great food at a good price. All the drinks you could ask for and they even make a great cup of tea. Very friendly staff but most of all great music from punk/skinhead/reggae vinyl djs.and bands and so on. All in all a great little boozer.

Friendly service, unhurried but attentive. Delicious food - the best salad I've ever tasted! Unfortunately, I wasn't back in Brighton in time to use the "40% off mains on your next visit" coupon before it expired, but I'll be back anyway.

Absolutely love this place!! Manda made us the best long island ice teas and was just so lovely, vibrant and charming to be around. Can't wait to go back in May 😁

A proper lively pub / venue with friendly staff and a friendly up for it crowd, happy to dance around tables and generally have a good laugh.
They have regular dance music sessions on Friday and Saturday nights.
Well worth checking out.
Love this pub! Excellent choice of drinks, amazing staff and great music & atmosphere, there's always something going on Thurs-Sun too. Also can't recommend the Durban curries enough 😍
Have eaten in here now many times, and have always had an excellent meal, always very busy that proves a good restaurant anyway. Staff are always attentive and create a good atmosphere.
