After seeing an article in the Metro speaking so highly of this restaurant, from it's authentic food to homely, sustainable decor, I was tempted to try it myself.
The location is great. Set on the Brighton sea front, you're immersed in the scenic atmosphere by the shore, with the famous 'Upside down house' right in your eye-line.
The service from all members of staff was top class. Our server 'Diana' did an excellent job of making us feel welcome, she offered service with a smile. She was patient, knowledgeable and kindly talked us through the menu which encouraged us to try new foods we otherwise may have missed out on.
The food and drinks were fresh, flavoursome and served quickly. Perfectly spot for some authentic Mexican food on the Brighton seafront. We ordered the octopus tacos and Full Mexican Breakfast. The tacos were a tasty treat and the 'Full Mexican Breakfast' which we had as a lunch dish was well cooked and surprisingly filling. The lemonade in particular was a great choice for a hot summers day, it was freshly squeezed. A refreshing alternative to your standard soft drinks.
We're not even local, we travelled for 2 hours to get there, but would definitely go back again. From the food, to the service and attention to detail in the interior design, the place really was 'worth the hype'. 10/10 would most definitely recommend.
Nice margarita and very tasty and well presented food except for the dessert which tasted like raw flour. Good service and nice atmosphere and music. The tables could do with a deep clean as they are sticky. Although it is expensive, I will be back to taste some other dishes.
Nice, cozy Mexican place with a sea view. Small and tasty tacos with variety of cocktails. Nice atmosphere especially when there is a sun outside.
Service could be better as waitress don't described the meny and brought the receipt without ask while I was eating
Clearly the chef knows what they are doing. My gf brought me here saying I would have liked it... I absolutely loved it. Tlaloc went up to one of my favourite mexican in Brighton. Make sure to get a table by the window as the room can get quite warm very quickly.

Went for a birthday meal for two. Atmosphere was fantastic with good, upbeat music. Staff super friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. Service was excellent.
The food itself was great. Very very tasty. Portion size I felt could have been a touch bigger but I love big food! More veggie options would have been nice but the ones I had were really fantastic.
Great cocktails too.

Five Stars, The food was very good. The bottomless battered Baja fish tacos were phenomenal.
I enjoyed conversing with the service staff, and I felt that they were very friendly. The music was good and the restaurant has a nice ambience. I asked for a cup of ice and he brought me a glass of ice. I asked for a water with lemon or lime with ice and he brought me a glass of water with ice with lime and a straw. They did not complain about me bringing in my own beverage. They took my payment at the table. They did not badger me for a tip. All in all- it was an excellent experience for lunch, and I am certain that it would be great for breakfast or for dinner as well. If you are staying at the hotel Selina next-door, then you will get a 10% off discount if you wear your wristband. Will taste again. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Nice location, overlooking the beach. Food is well balanced and well presented but a little lacking in substance (eg pineapple on El Pastor tasted tinned??). You will leave with a mouthful of flavour, but you may still be hungry.
Delicious, authentic and exciting food! I had the most wonderful dinner here last night with a good friend who I hadn’t seen in a while. The atmosphere was so cozy and lovely and Joan was more than happy to recommend food to us and explain how it was made.
We had the octopus taco (my favourite!) and really yummy lamb barbacoa. I had the hibiscus margarita and we shared the chocolate chilli brownie and hibiscus sorbet, so good!
Omgggg the food is 10/10. The spice and flavours kick in midway. The starters and the main the drinks ughhhh even my teenage brother loved it.
Gorgeous little Mexican eatery with a heavy seafood focus. The oysters were divine and the local sparkling wine a wonderful pairing! A mocha after dinner was perfect. Thank you!

Blown away by this place. Hands-down the best Mexican I've had in the UK or USA. A simple menu with beautifully refined dishes cooked and served by 3 lovely people. This was our starter...

Authentic mexican food and cocktails with great ingredients, an enormous attention to detail and fantastic flavours. All within a reasonable priced package. A well balanced mixture of traditional meals with new dishes that are constantly being created and tested. I honestly cannot recommend this place enough.
I thought the food was excellent, the atmosphere was great and the staff were very polite and attentive.
Great place for lunch or dinner - amazing Mexican flavours with a slight twist, making it more interesting and worthwile tasting.
It’s been over 20 years since I was last in Mexico and this brought back great culinary memories! The food was as authentic as you will taste outside of Mexico. Quesadillas were awesome! Friendly and fantastic.
