Didn’t book but they managed to get 5 of us in then came another 4 in unexpectedly..
The lovely staff accommodated us and found us a larger table....
The food was outstanding from the sharing seafood platter to the steaks.
I would highly recommend perhaps book too......
I booked the Copper Clam for my 50th birthday celebrations..The evening was very special and all the staff were amazing, full of warmth and impeccable hospitality, they couldn't do more to accommodate and look after us and they contributed to make it a great evening that flowed very smoothly. The interior is cosy and stylish overlooking the sea and the food was fresh and well cooked, the seafood platter was the wow dish of the evening.. I wouldn't hesitate recommending the Copper Clam for a special gathering..
We visited on Tuesday and the food and service was lovely! Rockerfella Oysters to share.. chilli cheese croquettes and king prawns for starters � then.... moules and lobster for mains! I didn’t catch our waiters name but all staff were attentive and friendly. Great place!
Having been to a number of fish places in Brighton, this definitely ranks up with the best. Great service, good wine and superb food. The oysters were delicious, and with a variety of cooked options they are not just for the adventurous. My wife said the bruschetta was one of the best she had ever tasted. The shellfish platter was also excellent and very reasonably priced for the content. With oysters, two bottles of more expensive wine, and most of us eating the platters, it came to a very reasonable £40 a head. Highly recommended.
We were recommended this place by our friends and it was way beyond our expectations! The king prawns in lobster bisque were exceptionally tasty and the whole grilled lobster was superb as well. Their special dessert chocolate mousse was beautifully plated and also extremely delicious. Exceptionally friendly and attentive staff who also helped us get a taxi (which we really needed due to the bad weather). We’ll definitely be back again!
Delicious lunch at The Copper Clam yesterday. The best crab platter I've eaten outside France.A bottle of the house Rose' was excellent and service was first class. Will make it our number one restaurant !
What an amazing little find...just spent a wonderful evening here eating fresh shellfish & drinking fabulous Gin cocktails. The staff were simply wonderful and the food was divine. Thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a little gem on Brighton seafront. I will be back soon!

First visit. Was very good. Food, service, place-from arrival to leaving. The squid was to die for as was the cod and Parma ham. Will be back.
Literally just stopped eating my food to rate it. It's SO amazing. I will 200% come back to try more from the menu. Amazing friendly staff and amazing chef.

We had a beautiful meal here for our Ruby Wedding Anniversary, Staff were excellent, service was brilliant and too top it off they gave us a complementary glass of bubbly, Would recommend to family and friends.

I have been coming to this spot whenever I visit Brighton for years and again was blown away by the delicious food and impeccable service. The restaurant's menu offered a wide variety of options. The Moules mariniere were so fresh and perfectly cooked and so flavourful. The steak we ordered were perfectly seared and seasoned.
But what truly elevated my dining experience was the excellent service provided by an attentive, friendly waiter named Nat who went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was exceptional.
Overall, I can't recommend this restaurant enough. The food was top-notch, the service was outstanding, and I am grateful for such a wonderful dining experience. Thank you to the amazing wait staff for making our meal truly wonderful.
Was lucky enough to walk in and get a seat outside. The staff was amazing and very helpful. Definitely try the crab fries! Also, ask for a smoked old fashion….not on the menu, but the bar tender knocked it out of the park! Can’t wait to come back!
My new favourite place in Brighton. Owen who looked after us was super knowledgable and enthusiastic about their food. We can’t wait to go back.
Had a lovely seaside meal here, the monk fish tasted divine, as did the lobster roll starter. My only note would be the portion sizes. Service was great, didn’t catch our waitresses name but she was very friendly and answered all of our questions. Will deffo come back when next in Brighton.
Lovely fresh seafood spot. You will be greatly surprised. Staff extremely professional. Food was exactly as described. The flavours were magical. I am still currently in a food coma. Give this spot a chance. And give yourself the time to absorb the atmosphere, don’t rush. Great selection of wines.
Everything was perfect for my daughter's wedding meal. I had prawns, steak and a cheeseboard. It was all delicious. The view is lovely and the staff are friendly and professional.
I would recommend a visit, especially if you want to treat yourself and your guests.
We were part of an event, we loved the venue, the food and drinks were amazing and above all service was impeccable. Nat was wonderful, very attentive! The rest of the team were great. We would definitely come back again!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Copper Clam restaurant, and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm and friendly smiles from the staff, and I knew right away that I was in for a treat.
First and foremost, the food at Copper Clam was simply outstanding. As their name suggests, they specialize in seafood, and I could tell right away that they only use the freshest ingredients in all of their dishes. I started with the mussels, and it was rich, velvety, and packed with flavor. The shellfish platter that followed were arguably the best I've ever had. I must say that the Copper Clam truly excelled in this department. As someone who has had their fair share of seafood over the years, I can confidently say that the oysters, clams, and mussels were among the freshest and most delicious that I've ever had. I could tell right away that they were carefully sourced and handled, and it made all the difference in the world.
Of course, great food is only part of the equation when it comes to dining out, and I'm happy to report that the service at Copper Clam was equally impressive. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and always had a smile on her face. She made excellent recommendations and was happy to answer any questions that we had. The rest of the staff was also friendly and accommodating, and I could tell that they all took great pride in their work.
In summary, if you're looking for outstanding food, fresh and delicious shellfish, and impeccable service, look no further than the Copper Clam restaurant. I have no doubt that it will quickly become a favorite of anyone who gives it a try, and I can't wait to go back myself. The lobster included in the platter was huge and tasty, which with the outstanding shrimp and other seafood makes the Lobster Platter a must-eat. The service was good and it seems all the past negative reviews are dated and inaccurate now. The food was pricy but very much worth it.
We went for my Mum's 70th birthday and had a wonderful meal on the beach. Loads of drinks, loads of food (particularly oysters which were delicious and which we had loads of!). They were super accommodating, all our requests were dealt with and we didn't have to wait long for anything even though there were 20 of us. Would definitely come again. Big shout out to the waiting staff who were exceptionally patient!

The Copper Clam served very fresh and good food, we had a bad experience at another seafood restaurant by Brighton earlier so we weren't expecting much from this place as it didn't have many people eating, we were surprised at how good it was! However, the service at the beginning was very slow and we had to ask for the menus so it didn't seem welcoming for us. The food also took long to come out but that's fine as long as the food is cooked well!
I have been here a few times when I visited Brighton and it’s never disappointed. Service is good and waiting staff is friendly.
Lobster platter is good and highly recommend. Especially on a Sunny day enjoying your seafood with a bottle of wine by the beach! Try the crab chips too!

Very very warm welcome given by waiting staff and owners, shown to tables allowed to choose which they even cleaned one especially in the corner for us.
Then had a little chat with waitress owner, We were choosing a mid range wine but were recommended A lower priced one. And she was spot on. The Verdejo was delicious!
Menus where brought, everything on there sounded amazing.
We chose a few starters to share, scallops and squid, both of them superb; and few mains with sprouts and the crab fries to die for.
Mussels were fantastic and the sauce was amazing
great food, had big seafood platter and ribeye and both were delicious. location is very good but unfortunately service is poor. saw waitier only when ordering food and paying. have to add that they automatically adding 12.5% service charge ( can be removed)
